  1. I'm pretty sure that book was not pressed. Look at this picture, at spine dent in the middle of the spine. A press won't fix the color break, but it would sure as hell fix that shallow finger-bend.
  2. I tried to report, but wasn't sure of the category. I looked under "listing practices" and "fraudulent," but didn't see a sub-category that seemed to fit. What category did you report this as? I would like to report it too ... I've bought from this PoS in the past, and didn't realize until now he was lying to me about the grade.
  3. I agree with this. But we're on the same page, right? This deal, it was a scenario one...
  4. Well ... that didn't happen here, though, right? He didn't get a good price due to budget. The budget thing, that was mentioned as a "I can't buy it today for that price, but maybe I can buy a lower grade copy instead." GG wasn't sure he wanted to do that, so instead they came up with a different arrangement ... that Nic would sell a couple books to RAISE the money, and thereby pay the full asking price. The original FS post? It even mentioned that layaway was an option. So that wasn't something GG only did for Nic ... it was something he offered for any buyer.
  5. Okay, so you are saying, that IS the culture here? That some people only want to sell to collectors, not to flippers? I get that not everyone is like that. But it seems you are saying GG is like that ... that he feels betrayed because the the buyer gave the impression he was going to keep it, and he ended up not keeping it?
  6. I get that. It seems suspicious, selling a comic you've been looking for "forever." Not suspicious enough to blow up like the OP, but enough to ask about it, maybe. Well ... maybe not. I just went back and looked: the OP guy, GG, literally said: "Had I known his only motivation was to make a fast buck at my expense I would have certainly asked for more." Asked for more? The buyer paid the asked-for price, the ADVERTISED price. What am I missing here? Even if that truly was "his only motivation" for buying it (it wasn't), how does that even come into it?
  7. Where did I say GG cursed, or called anyone a child? I didn't say that ... I said he was wrong. He jumped to a lot of conclusions, and he wrote disparaging things, and he did that based on no evidence. I am confused by your post, kav ... but I do appreciate how calm it is. Anyway, there really isn't a lot of subtext, is there? I mean, it was one sentence. "Been wanting this book forever, but it's a bit out of my range," etc. And he DID want it for himself. He's cleared that bit up, he wasn't planning to sell it. But then he saw something else that he wanted more. AND the price jumped, thanks to HA. So, yeah ... seller wasn't doing any favors with the sell, and the buyer - irrespective of what he said - didn't ask for any favors. It was a FS post, and he bought it, right? What's the problem? Maybe I don't understand how it works over here. If you have a FS post, with a price, does that mean you are selling the book at that price? Or does it mean, I'll only sell to you if you promise - implicitly - to keep it forever? I'm really asking, because maybe the culture is different here.
  8. I don't post over here much, but man, ya'll are nuts. GG, I don't know you or Nic from Adam, and I don't have a dog in this fight. As a neutral observer, who read your post, and then read this one, I can say this: You are in the wrong here, in every particular. I mean, c'mon man ... he never said it was a grail. He said he'd been looking for it for a long time. And he didn't nickle and dime you down with that story, either; it was just an aside ... he paid YOUR price. He does that, he can do whatever he wants with the book after. The only implicit promise - to keep it, forever and ever - was in your head. And sure, he can have an opinion about cleaning and pressing. Anyone with experience has an opinion about that. How the hell is that a lie? Answer: it's not. Unless you told him it had been pressed, and he believed you, he did not lie when he offered this opinion. Just calm down, man. You are seeing red and there's no reason to. Sometimes people buy a comic, and they aren't as thrilled to have it as they thought they'd be. Happens to all of us. Sometimes the price jumps after we buy one and we just can't say 'no.' Sometimes a true grail comes along, and we gotta flip a comic to afford it. Looks like that's what happened here. Sometimes bills come up and we just gotta pay them. But instead of thinking any of that was possible, you went directly to the worst possible assumption: that he lied to you. You jumped to the cynical conclusion that he was intending to sell it all along, while buying it from you. And you (and others, it must be said) concluded that based on literally zero evidence. AND HE PAID YOUR ADVERTISED PRICE. That can't be emphasized enough, really. If you sold it as a favor, that's one thing. But you sold it in a sales thread that YOU initiated. What on earth are you complaining about?? Anyway, after all that, your hasty conclusion colored how you perceived every action since. Not leaving kudos, mentioning the F&F thing ... which - if I am reading this right - really was a violation? Exactly as he stated? Because you said he was "complaining" about F&F. But I just read exactly what he wrote, it's right up above, and he didn't complain. Mentioning a fact, and complaining about that fact, are two different things. He only mentioned that it is a violation, right? And it is a violation? Because it looks to be that what he said is 100% correct. I mean, you got a warning, right? So ... where are you getting the "just wants to throw mud" thing? It is a legitimate point, that you broke the rules and he did not. So cynical, man ... there's just no need for that. It'll give you heartburn every time.
  9. Hello! Well, I wrote this post out on Sunday, and then my computer froze. So I lost the whole damn thing and didn't feel like writing it again until now. This week, I have just a couple of books at MyComicShop. But also, I decided to try out eBay again, just to see how things are over there. Plus, these are kind of specialty items. And I've gotten the impression that the more thinly traded comics, like Signature Series and other rarities, do better at eBay than they do at MCS. Not sure if that is true or not, but that's been my impression, from an admittedly small sample size. Anyway, it's always a good idea to periodically test the waters. So I've got 5-6 really cool books in auction this week. Well ... five in auction, and one BIN that might TURN into an auction, later. I am also selling some LEGO sets, too, if anyone here is interested in those. By the way ... doing this has reminded me what a HUGE pain in the neck it is to sell on eBay. Taking all those pictures and writing out the listing and figuring out the postage in advance and ALL that . Not to mention after the sale, where you have to pack and ship everything. And that is why I really do love MCS for online comic sales. (Do you think we can talk them into selling Lego, too?) Well, here they are ... some great and pretty unique books this week. Here are the current bids: Young Avengers #1 Director's Cut 9.8. This is the first appearance of a LOT of characters, including Kate Bishop, who will be appearing in the new TV currently in production. I can't wait! Current bid: $177.50 New Teen Titans #2 SS 8.5. This, of course, is the first appearance of Deathstroke, but more importantly is SIGNED by GEORGE PEREZ. Perez has announced he is done attending comic conventions now, and so signings with him are exceedingly rare these days. Current bid: $42 Infinity Gauntlet #1 SS 9.4. The first issue in this epic story, this copy is SIGNED by George Perez AND Jim Starlin! The current bid is WAAAY too low, at just $27 (I expect some sniping will be going on. I recommend the free software Myibidder for all your eBay sniping needs. It's fantastic.) Detective Comics #1000 Hughes "virgin" variant SS 9.8. BEAUTIFUL variant cover by Adam Hughes and the first appearance of Arkham Knight in continuity. And, SIGNED by AH! himself. Current bid: $61.01 Batman #407 9.2 Double Cover. Yes, that's right ... the last issue of the greatest Batman story of all time, and it's a very rare DOUBLE COVER. Wow! Current bid: $22.50 BIN: Batman: Last Knight on Earth #1 9.9 MINT. I just put this one up there tonight, and I have NO idea how to price a MINT comic. They tend to be all over the place. But also, very hard to find. So I'll start this one perhaps too high at $249.99. It's eBay, so feel free to make me an offer! The Lego sets are pretty cool, too. Especially that Creator Expert Palace Cinema. That one's retired, so it may go for more than the Young Avengers even. (But YA does have more watchers at the moment.) Oh! I almost forgot, there ARE two at MyComicShop this week, both Venom. They are: Venom #3 SDCC edition 9.2. First appearance of Knull! Current bid: $36 Venom #27 The Comic Mint "virgin" variant 9.8. This is a VERY cool cover by Skan, as a homage to ... I want to say, Clayton Crain? I think that's right. Anyway, definitely a good one to have. Current bid: $32 Good luck bidding! Auction comics end late SUNDAY night. (And Monday night, for MCS.)
  10. Happy Post-Thanksgiving everyone. The holidays are always a busy time, even during Covid, and I am late posting this update! With everyone distracted, and all the Black Friday extended deals going on, it will likely be a GREAT time to pick up some auction steals and deals! We have 21 up for auction this week, and it ends tonight! (Nov 30th) Ten of these are PEACH MOMOKO covers in this week's Peach Spotlight. Unfortunately, the fantabulous Peach cover for Marvel Rising #1 isn't back from the graders yet, so that will come later. But these ones are MUCH more affordable (mostly) and some BEAUTIFUL designs. (Check out that Wynd #1 - my personal favorite!) AND! We also have a variety of other comics including: Catwoman (and the 1st Catgirl), The Immortal Hulk Deodato variant cover, Batman #428 the Death of Robin (and THREE Jimenez RI 1:25 variants), Thor, Something is Killing the Children, and Venom. Check them out below! Here are the current bids: Amazing Spider-Man #46 (PEACH) 9.8. Current bid: $40 Batman #428 9.6. Current bid: $100 Batman #93 RI 1:25 Jimenez (The Designer). Current bid: $51 Batman #94 RI 1:25 Jimenez (The Underbroker). Current bid: $31 Batman #95 RI 1:25 Jimenez (The Joker). Current bid: $72 Batman: the Adventures Continue #1 (PEACH) Frankie's Comics variant 9.8. Current bid: $34 Batman: the Adventures Continue #2 (PEACH) Frankie's Comics variant 9.8. Current bid: $38 Blackwood: Mourning After #3 (PEACH) Momoko variant 9.8. Current bid: $28 Captain Marvel #16 (PEACH) The Comic Mint exclusive variant 9.8. Current bid: $64 Catwoman #23 Woo-Cheol Lee variant, 1st Catgirl 9.6. Current bid: $23 Catwoman 80th Anniversary 100 Page Super Spectacular #1 The Comic Mint variant Maer 9.4. Current bid: $28 Ghost-Spider #8 (PEACH) The Comic Mint exclusive variant 9.8. Current bid: $28 The Immortal Hulk Deodato variant 9.4. Current bid: $19 Sleeping Beauties #2 (PEACH) Slab City Comics exclusive variant 9.8. Current bid: $26 Something is Killing the Children #1 5th printing variant 9.6. Current bid: $41 Thor #6 Skroce spoiler variant 9.6. Current bid: $25 Vampirella #12 (PEACH) Sad Lemon exclusive variant 9.6. Current bid: $36 Venom #25 8.5. **I don't know why they hell this got an 8.5. Grader notes say "light bends to cover light creasing to cover," but I can't see it. Maybe it was just keyed in wrong? Or maybe they damaged it themselves? They've done both before, but I just don't have time to mess with sending it back. Current bid: $11 Venom First Host #1 9.2. Current bid: $36 Wynd #1 (PEACH) Sanctum Sanctorum Comics exclusive variant 9.8. Current bid: $44 Wynd #2 (PEACH) Sanctum Sanctorum Comics exclusive variant 9.8. Current bid: $26
  11. MyComicShop auction ends tonight! Only seven in this week's, but there will be another 21 starting tonight through next Monday. Including a special focus on Peach Momoko covers. Some real beauties! Looks like there are still some great deals to be had here. That Daredevil #600 9.8 is a steal at just $26. And Shadow #1 for only $36? Wow! Here are the opening and current bids: Batgirl and the Birds of Prey #18 variant 9.8. Current bid: $38 Batman #93 1:25 variant 9.8. Current bid: $42 Captain Marvel: The End #1 Peach variant 9.6. Current bid: $38 Daredevil #600 Quesada variant 9.8. Current bid: $26 New Mutants #1 Granov "virgin" variant 9.8. Current bid: $62 Shadow #1 9.2. Current bid: $36 Something is Killing the Children #1 9.6. Current bid: $174
  12. Hi. Nice comics! I have used eBay and ComicLink for selling, and have also bought from ComicConnect. Now I sell almost exclusively through MyComicShop. It's the best place and biggest market, I think, for these books. You can price them on the exchange, or you can put them in the weekly auction or, for the big books, the quarterly Prime auction. Douglas Gillock at ComicLink is fantastic, so if you want to go through ComicLink for HoS #92 or Swamp Thing #1 and (depending on condition) #9, reach out to him about it. They aren't as broad or as deep at MCS, but they are more specialized, and so tend to get more high-end comics. Douglas is a great guy and will treat you fair. Also, they will front the cost of cleaning, pressing, and grading if you want. To answer your question, selling individually always gets you more. Most of these, you'll want to get graded first and then sell them. Perhaps the rest you can sell as a "raw" lot, but don't count on much money there. Really, the bulk of the money will come from HoS #92. That's maybe $3000, as compared to maybe $300 on #1, and less on the rest. (That's assuming a grade of 9.0, which this copy might be.) But I think you would be okay grading the whole lot and selling them. If you break even on a few, it's still easier than dealing with selling raws. FYI, you are sending out for pressing first, right? Please tell me you are. It will make a big difference ... the price difference on HoS #92 between a 9.0 and 9.2 is just tremendous. No matter how well you have kept them these 30 years, or the collector for 20 years before that, there is likely things that can be improved with a good presser. I routinely use two, and they are both excellent ... Gary Kendra at Impressive Comic Book Pressing, and John Suter at Comic Book Detailing. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. Good luck!
  13. This week's auction has seven comics, including a high-grade copy of The Shadow #1, with that beautiful Michael Kaluta cover. And speaking of fantastic cover art, check out that Daredevil #600 variant by Joe Quesada. Wow! The Adi Granov New Mutants variant is pretty badass, too. This was an exclusive done for Frankie's Comics. The Peach Momoko variant for Captain Marvel: The End, I meant to put this in next week's auction, as I have a LOT of Peach covers in next week's auction. But here is fine, too! And you won't see that Batgirl Birds of Prey cover often. It's one of only two copies at 9.8 on the census. Not a key issue, but a striking cover by Karmome Shirahama. Also available is a copy of Something is Killing the Children #1 in 9.6. The 9.8's are already priced out of many people's budget, so this is a great way to get a somewhat more affordable, but still high-grade, copy. And this title is HOT. Due to the development deal that is in the works. (And the great story! Mustn't forget that.) Here are the opening and current bids: Batgirl and the Birds of Prey #18 variant 9.8. Current bid: $26 Batman #93 1:25 variant 9.8. Current bid: $42 Captain Marvel: The End #1 Peach variant 9.6. Current bid: $31 Daredevil #600 Quesada variant 9.8. Current bid: $19 New Mutants #1 Granov "virgin" variant 9.8. Current bid: $41 Shadow #1 9.2. Current bid: $16 Something is Killing the Children #1 9.6. Current bid: $81
  14. Final update ... auction ends TONIGHT! Still some great deals to be had. Seven comics at $30 or below! And that PERFECT Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars (9.8, White) is currently just $361. Check them out! Here are the current bids: Absolute Carnage Symbiote Spider-Man #1 Mayhew variant 9.8. Current bid: $27 Batman #428 9.4. Current bid: $60 Batman Beyond #37 9.8. Current bid: $62 Batman Beyond #38 9.8. Current bid: $24 Batman Harley Quinn nn 9.6. Current bid: $155 Blackwood: Mourning After #3 9.8. Current bid: $30 Captain Marvel #8 9.6. Current bid: $67 Flash #193 9.0. Current bid: $41 Heroes in Crisis #1 1:200 9.6. Current bid: $41 House of X #2 9.8. Current bid: $40 Justice League #1 Clayton Crain variant 9.8. Current bid: $30 Marvel Comics Secret Wars #8 9.8. Current bid: $361 Marvel Team-Up #141 9.0. Current bid: $47 Mercy #1 Stephanie Hans variant 9.8. Current bid: $37 Red Sonja Age of Chaos #2 Chew monochromatic virgin variant 9.6. Current bid: $32 Spider-Men II #1 1:10 variant 9.8. Current bid: $26 Superman Lois & Clark #8 9.4. Current bid: $16 Symbiote Spider-Man #1 Lozano variant 9.8. Current bid: $26 Thor #1 Lee variant 9.6. Current bid: $51 Thor #5 9.8. Current bid: $96
  15. Saturday update! Even with all the distractions this week, the auction seems to be doing well. Perhaps a little lower than usual, just a few days before close. But if so, that just means some great deals to be had! In particular, I think some really nice comics will go for quite a bit less than retail. Perhaps the 1st appearance of Jon Kent as Superboy? (Current bid: $10) Or Batman Beyond #38 9.8? (Current bid: $21) This could be a great time to pick up a Symbiote Spider-Man #1 ($21, 9.8) or Absolute Carnage Symbiote Spider-Man #1 ($24, 9.8) with these limited edition variant covers. Or the beautiful Clayton Crain variant for Justice League #1 ($30, 9.8). There are also some covers with fantastic art that doesn't come up for sale very often. Such as the Blackwood Mourning After 9.8 cover by Peach Momoko ($30); or the Stephanie Hans version of Mercy #1 9.8 ($37). And that astonishingly good Mattina cover for the Heroes in Crisis #1 1:200 is getting more difficult to find every day ($40). As The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl would say, "Go nuts!" Here are the current bids: Absolute Carnage Symbiote Spider-Man #1 Mayhew variant 9.8. Current bid: $24 Batman #428 9.4. Current bid: $60 Batman Beyond #37 9.8. Current bid: $62 Batman Beyond #38 9.8. Current bid: $21 Batman Harley Quinn nn 9.6. Current bid: $125 Blackwood: Mourning After #3 9.8. Current bid: $30 Captain Marvel #8 9.6. Current bid: $34 Flash #193 9.0. Current bid: $40 Heroes in Crisis #1 1:200 9.6. Current bid: $40 House of X #2 9.8. Current bid: $30 Justice League #1 Clayton Crain variant 9.8. Current bid: $30 Marvel Comics Secret Wars #8 9.8. Current bid: $361 Marvel Team-Up #141 9.0. Current bid: $47 Mercy #1 Stephanie Hans variant 9.8. Current bid: $37 Red Sonja Age of Chaos #2 Chew monochromatic virgin variant 9.6. Current bid: $24 Spider-Men II #1 1:10 variant 9.8. Current bid: $26 Superman Lois & Clark #8 9.4. Current bid: $10 Symbiote Spider-Man #1 Lozano variant 9.8. Current bid: $21 Thor #1 Lee variant 9.6. Current bid: $51 Thor #5 9.8. Current bid: $81
  16. Hello! This week's auction is already underway and gaining steam. But if history is any judge, there will be some GREAT deals found herein. Included in this auction is a BEAUTIFUL copy of Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars #8 9.8! Another early black Spidey costume appearance is Marvel Team-Up #141 (9.0). Also this week we have: The first BatWOMAN Beyond, the death of Speedy (with that great 1:200 Mattina cover), an early appearance of Captain Cold in Flash #193 (9.0), the first appearance of Star in Captain Marvel #8 (9.6), the Death of Robin (9.4), first appearance of The Black Winter (9.8), the first Jonathan Kent as Superboy (9.4), and the first evil Miles Morales (9.8 - 1:10 variant). Also, that amazing Alex Ross cover one-shot: the first appearance of Harley Quinn in continuity (9.6). There is also some FANTASTIC cover art here. Peach Momoko, Clayton Crain, Derrick Chew, Mike Mayhew, InHyuk Lee, Stephanie Hans, and more! Check it out below. Here are the current bids: Absolute Carnage Symbiote Spider-Man #1 Mayhew variant 9.8. Current bid: $22 Batman #428 9.4. Current bid: $49 Batman Beyond #37 9.8. Current bid: $12 Batman Beyond #38 9.8. Current bid: $8 Batman Harley Quinn nn 9.6. Current bid: $106 Blackwood: Mourning After #3 9.8. Current bid: $30 Captain Marvel #8 9.6. Current bid: $1 Symbiote Spider-Man #1 Lozano variant 9.8. Current bid: $21 Thor #1 Lee variant 9.6. Current bid: $22 Thor #5 9.8. Current bid: $72
  17. Late with the update this week. I'll do a final update tomorrow sometime before the bidding ends. FYI, NEXT WEEK, I will have another 20 items up for bid ... Including a BEAUTIFUL 9.8 of Secret Wars #8, and a first appearance of BatWOMAN Beyond, in Batman Beyond #37 9.8. And a lot more to boot! This week's auction ends Monday night, and next week's starts right after, so good luck with your bidding! Here are this week's bids: Batman #93 1:25 9.8. Current bid: $31 Captain Marvel #8 Secret Variant 9.6. Current bid: $36 Something Is Killing The Children #1 A 9.6. Current bid: $150 Darth Vader #3 9.6. Current bid: $105 Thor #4 9.4. 18. New Auction! Just 12 items this week, but some nice gems here! Check out that Wonder Woman cover from the Bronze Age. And a slightly more affordable Something Is Killing The Children #1 A in a 9.6. Also! The first Punchline from Hell Arisen #3 (9.8), the first Star from Captain Marvel #8 (Secret Variant 9.6), the first Virus and Codex appearance, and the first Doctor Aphra from Darth Vader #3 (9.6). And there is a great Peach Momoko cover from Wynd #1 by James Tynion IV (1:25 9.6), a Comic Mint variant of X-Men #1 by Shannon Maer (9.2 - comes with certificate), a Batman #93 Designer variant (1:25 9.8), Thor #4 from the Dark Winter storyline (9.4), and some GREAT Venom issues, including a Spider-Man #300 homage by Kael Ngu! By the way, if you are a fan of Jeff Jones' art, have a close look at that Wonder Woman cover. I couldn't figure out how on earth it graded so low, and I almost sent it in for a re-grade. The grader notes only say: "light spine stress lines to cover; moderate creasing to cover." Definitely presents better than the grade, and it's a damn fine copy. Here are the listings and early bids: Batman #93 1:25 9.8. Current bid: $24 Captain Marvel #8 Secret Variant 9.6. Current bid: $11 Something Is Killing The Children #1 A 9.6. Current bid: $101 Darth Vader #3 9.6. Current bid: $68 Thor #4 9.4. Current bid: $16 Venom #25 9.8. Current bid: $23 Venom #26 9.8. Current bid: $13 Venom #26 Kael Ngu variant 9.6. Current bid: $30 Year of the Villain: Hell Arisen #3 9.8. Current bid: $76
  19. Someone else mentioned how very many comics were in this PRIME Auction this time around. I guess I didn't really notice, but they actually had to split the 1980-today into TWO groups. So, here are all the ones left, that are actually ending TONIGHT, not last night. Still 13 left! And, no surprise, the Ultimate Fallout #4 is in the lead, with Something is Killing the Children #1 in a strong second place. Thor #5 is still strong as well. Good luck tonight! Here are the current bids: Red Sonja Age of Chaos #2 1:60 variant 9.8. Cover by Gabriele Dell'Otto. Current bid: $49 Red Sonja Birth of the She Devil Sad Lemon variant 9.8. Cover by John Gallagher. 21. Saturday night update. The MCS auctions tend to have a lot of action in the first day, and the last day, with only gradual increases throughout the week. I'll update again on Tuesday, as this is the PRIME AUCTION, so only Golden Age comics (pre-1960 lots) end on Monday night. Tuesday is 1960's and 1970's, so that will be when the Adventure Comics ends; the two Neal Adams Action Comics; the Spider-Man #194 and Amazing Adventures #6; the New Gods 9.8 #10; and both Fantastic Fours. Everything else ends on Wednesday. Here are the current bids: Action Comics #399 9.4. Cover by Neal Adams. Current bid: $41 Action Comics #400 9.0. Cover by Neal Adams; anniversary issue. 22. Thursday night update! The quarterly auction tends to bring out the bidders who eschew the whole "sniping" culture, I've found. Not always, but often you'll pretty much know what the final bid will be well before the auction ends. Personally, I think that's silly. But I understand the approach if you have a system, and you buy a lot, and just don't have time to pay attention to every little comic. Still, I imagine you miss out on some beauties that way. Like that first Supergirl comic! Wow - 9.4 and white pages with perfect centering, from 1969. And in less than a week some lucky soul will get to take THAT one home. Here are the current bids: Action Comics #399 9.4. Cover by Neal Adams. Current bid: $22 Action Comics #400 9.0. Cover by Neal Adams; anniversary issue. Current bid: $7 Adventure Comics #381 9.4. 23. It's time for the MyComicShop QUARTERLY PRIME AUCTION! I've got a LOT of great stuff this week ... 26 comics total! Including: the first Miles Morales in Ultimate Fallout #4, the first Supergirl comic (Adventure Comics #381 - 9.4!), the first Black Cat, a whole bunch of Something is Killing the Children number 1's, the first Black Winter, and the first Punchline! Also: Batman (copper age), Action comics (bronze age), X-Men (recent), New Gods (9.8!), Red Sonja (great covers!), Fantastic Four, Gwen Stacy, and Amazing Adventures featuring Black Widow! Whew! It's a lot to chose from. But you know at least SOME of these will go for a lot less than they should. It always happens. Like that House of X #2 ... sometimes it goes for $35 bucks and sometimes it goes for $180 and I have no idea why. Or those Bronze Age beauties. Those just don't come up for sale very often in high grades, and so they sometimes don't get very many bidders. I'll be (pleasantly) surprised if that high-grade Supergirl comic sells for anything close to guide on that one. What a sharp copy! Curt Swam pencils with Neal Adams inks on that cover. Nice! And that Amazing Adventures staring Black Widow and The Inhumans, with cover AND interior art by Neal Adams. And how about that Wonder Woman cover by Ryan Brown in DCeased? Wow! SO well done. Good luck bidding! Here's the list: Action Comics #399 9.4. Cover by Neal Adams. Current bid: $1 Action Comics #400 9.0. Cover by Neal Adams; anniversary issue. Current bid: $26 Amazing Spider-Man #194 8.0. First Black Cat. Current bid: $63 Batman #406 9.6. Batman: Year One, part 3. Current bid: $1 Batman #428 9.4. Death of Jason Todd. Current bid: $21 DCeased #5 Comics Elite variant 9.8. Variant cover by Ryan Brown. Current bid: $3 Fantastic Four #76 8.5. GREAT Kirby cover. Current bid: $1 Fantastic Four #200 9.4.
