  1. Ok, so I was just reading detective comics 371 early batgirl story. First off, I love older books. I find there stories often are more enjoyable than new stuff out. However, this one misses on being a good story. It has proved to be hilarious read and I am sure this has been posted before. The panel that I have attached has an epic speech bubble that no doubt was not meant to be what we all probably think of 1st. So looking for others to post/share great panels that should never have been. Would love to see more .
  2. WOW @greggy that is amazingly generous of you. What a way to make someone's holiday. Well worth the wait. Kudos to winner All I can say after seeing that is.... who's hand do I have to grease to pull my name first next year
  3. Hey @T'Challa You will have to remove the jim 85 and tales 59 from either the cgc boards or ebay. Cgc rules are they can only sell on 1 format. Just trying to give you some friendly help.
  4. I wish Brittany a speedy and full recovery. Never had the pleasure to meet her, but very sweet and helpful person on phone. Wish you the best. I will send money when something is set up.
  5. I agree. 2nd buyer is a scumbag. I was at a flea market a couple years ago and I seller had multiple boxes. Guy beside me pulls a ba 12 and its gorgeous. Everything was a buck. I thought for a brief moment to throw out an offer but immediately thought how I would feel if was reversed . so dude beside me got a great book .
  6. Steve is an awesome seller. Grest prices , fantastic shipping time. Great to chat with and responses very fast. An excellent transaction. I am super happy with my book. Can't wait to deal with again
  7. Wow. That's amazing of you and I commend you on that. Nice job. It stinks to have to sell something like that off. But is well worth it.
  8. This is such discouraging news. I can't say that I am surprised by any means. But there was a little part of me that thought that they were trying to right the ship with legacy. I think it might be time to jump ship. Will probably wait for new wolverine titles and see how they ruin him for a 2nd time and then never look back...... Sad....
  9. Seems like half the members want peace and nice nice and the other half wants anarky .
  10. That was very nice of you to let me know. I appreciate your time. Thank you
  11. There grading is very very strict. I have bought consignment books from them on multiple occasions and out of those times, very little did I actually agree with grade. Most times I feel like I have received a better book than actual grade. And on numerous occasions I have sent books in to be graded and they receive a much higher grade than the raw grade given at my comic shop. If this is the experience everyone else feels with buying from them. I could see as a seller on there sight feeling like they got a lower grade than warranted. Thus raising the price of said consigned book.
  12. You all are straight up blood hounds and I mean that it the most positive way. It amazes me how fast people on the boards sniff out scams and deception. Truly amazing group and effort. Everytime I see it transpire puts a smile on my face. People here are always on alert and looking out for your fellow boardies and collectors. Kudos to everyone that does it
  13. 1. Clearly you know nothing of this book. It was manufactured with a stiches spine no staples. Hence why the book presents the way it does. 2. See above. 3. If you read my question I was looking for an approximate value to determine if I would even consider selling it. If it was for sale, it would be in sales section at this point. 4. You added zero help to any of my questions except thread dumping. Appreciate it. Thanks
  14. Hi all. I am looking to find a rough value of this book. I know that it is extremely rare (from what I read, never was suppose to exist and maybe 15 copies survived) and that it more than likely is a nitche market for it. I am the owner of the highest graded copy. Universal 9.6 and only 1 other has been graded which was a 9.4. I cannot find any raw sales to even figure out a value and was hoping for some insight. And to be completely transparent. I am thinking of possibly selling to put towards something I truly want. This book does have sentimental value to me because of its rarity and I know I will probably never see one again let alone in this condition. Can anyone advise or give an approximation of value? Thanks in advance
  15. As said before. I will not buy anything he currently works on and was glad to see his insufferable work headed to dc. His art is very lazy and everything looks the same. And has for many many years. Without a costume on his drawings you couldn't tell the difference from one character to the next. Everything looks all stretched out and his joint areas (knees , elbows, etc )are worse than rob liefields feet. His time on daddy's coattails were up a long time ago. I feel bad for all that like his current work. You need help
  16. I would feel same way about the action 1. Sell it off and buy all kinf of goodies with it ?. The Tec I would keep . Batman had aged well with the time. Supes has not in my opinion. If created today Batman would still do well. I think superman would fold fast.
  17. It is a very gorgeous copy. Super sweet
  18. Wow. What a find. Congrats. That is soooooo amazing. Happy for ya.
