  1. Oh right, I thought they wore it to hit other customers when they turn around and to make it so you can't get around them...my bad.
  2. Hardly anyone takes checks anymore, I guess it's credit cards and the seller crosses his fingers that it's legit when the buyer walks away
  3. People who don't ship internationally are really missing out on sales. Let the buyer decide if they'll pay the expensive shipping fees.
  4. 3K to slab it + 3K to get a cva sticker = 6K, am I adding wrong?
  5. Ok, so grading a book like this with a CVA sticker would be $6000. ... Any serious buyer doesn't need a cva sticker to tell them the book looks good for the assigned grade. How long is it going to be before CGC comes up with something like this on their own?
  6. Wow, what a rip off! "I wouldn't pay $300 to see anyone" - Kieth Richards when asked about Rolling Stone ticket prices
  7. And tickets are already sold out to cosplayers...
  8. Since there is so much high end art at the show, How is a customer supposed to pay for a piece of art with asking prices of 50k, 60k 75k or even a 100k+ ? Dealers expecting the customer to walk around with that kind of cash in their pocket?
  9. dc0019-fmou8fm Add this guy to your block list. I received an open case for a Catwoman 47 ($9.95) that the buyer said he didn't receive that was shipped on 7/9 saying "This is more of a head's up but when I checked the tracking it doesn't register on the USPS site" I thought that was odd since I had to mail this book manually cause my laser printer ran out of black ink and was waiting for a new cartridge. I just entered the tracking number on my phone. After a little digging, I'm glad I kept the post office receipt, I re-entered the tracking number and checked the status "Delivered on 7/13" "Case has been closed by the buyer" I swear anything to try and save $10 by screwing over a seller, not an honest buyer.
  10. People still buy the overstreet? For what? The ads?
  11. This is why my parents were always broke growing up, All I heard from my mother telling my dad is "I want" over and over until he caved. Man up, she's not going to leave you cause you didn't buy her a new fridge. Good luck selling your books to keep her happy.
  12. Ah yes. Let's all go back to kindergarten and we'll relearn about color shall we? Yellow + Red mixed together makes Orange Printing basics KCMY (Black, Cyan, Magenta And Yellow) Each printing plate is made up these 4 colors (4 Color Press). Then background is made to look bright red, in order to make bright red, you need to add yellow to the magenta (red) because magenta is more of a pinkish color when printed on paper. As the press is running, the press operator adds each color from a console by pushing the keys (buttons) for each area of the book. When the desired color is achieved or close to it, they start saving the product. Since either the ink in the fountian is controlled by a sensor when it starts getting low, it refills automatically from an ink leveler or by hand. When either the ink leveler eye isn't working properly, the ink will run low causing the red ink to fade away and since yellow and red makes orange, more yellow is exposed underneath the magenta, making your NM 87 appear more orange than the bright red it should be. The press operator should have had those books thrown out but either he doesn't care, missed it or is so concerned about his waste count, he saved them away and out the door they went and now threads are created asking "Why does my comic look like this"?? Now you know, and knowing is half the battle!! G.I Joe!!
  13. Spider-Man 2 is a much better movie than Spider-Man Homecoming, although Tom Holland played a better Peter Parker than Toby McGuire did. Spider-Man (2001) isn't that good and 3 is just terrible.
  14. Yes, plenty to go around on a weekly basis for everyone who wants one and has the cash... Lower grades will flatline, just like Detective 27 and Action 1 have flat lined in lower grades...
  15. Tell her the furniture takes up a lot of space too
  16. That's called the "millionaire slowlane" You wanna be rich now when you're young, or wait 30-40 years?
  17. Chuck said in an interview "I'm not good at making money, But I gotta lot of comics" He's more interested in carrying dead inventory than he is generating cash flow, then when he needs the cash flow. He complains he doesn't have it. He really needs to evaluate his business model.
  18. Well either way, you can't do anything about it. No point in worrying about it.
  19. I only buy what I love too and I love me some AF 15
