  1. Never heard of title before. Was in the local comic shop and it was 100$ (9.4 raw, I think). Went on MCS and that seems to be the going price. I dunno. Somebody school me, please! Thanks!
  2. I only know about his AF15 coming from Crazy Charley. I enjoyed researching the provenance of the book. I do have this issue of CGC’s The Intelligent Collector that has an interview with Woo. I’ll check it out and see if he mentions any of his other books.
  3. Are you sure about the dates? I gotta check. Yeah, think about it: Magik Woo sells it for 77k and 3 MONTHS LATER new buyer sells for 150k making a cool 75 grand!
  4. It was signed by SL on page 16. Not technically “verified,” but yeah it was SL. (Signed at convention in the 70s by original owner “Crazy Charley,” who bought it on newsstand. Signature reads: “For my friend! Sincerely, Stan Lee”. And it ain’t no scrawl signature like his later stuff. You can actually read it). It sold at HA in fall 2015 (in guys across the street slab) for about 75k. Owner was world famous lock & pop dancer Magik Woo ( who bought it from “Crazy Charley”). New Buyer cracked and sent to CGC. Still came back 8.5. (Blue label)… …THEN some incredibly stupid, ignorant no-nothing bought it at HA auction In February 2016 (while on the plains of Tanzania, Africa) for 150k (including juice). It is slightly over graded. I’d give it an 8.3 or 8.3 1/2 if such a grade was available. The date stamp makes it for me. This baby was out in the real word, real newsstands so very, very long ago.
  5. I Cannot Feel You As The Dogs Are Laughing And I Am Blind
  6. Nah, I’m working on my Shoney’s/Bob’s Big Boy run. 1st issue Everett cover. (1955). Stan Lee stories. Variants for East Coast - West Coast covers. Promo comics are the next thing. AF15 is really a fading star Bob’s Big Boy promo comics are very rare
  7. I wouldn’t want a book that’s tanking, even if I already had an 8.5! 👻
  8. It’s tanking. Bad investment. NoMan says NO!
  9. Wait does this have something to do with AF15 tanking at $115,000? I like the picture of the "journalist" who wrote this "article," like, "I went to school for this?": Marvel Is Debuting a Gay Spider-Man Oh, and his web-slinging outfit is serving Superhero Met Gala. BY SAMANTHA RIEDEL June 30, 2022 Twitter/@steve_foxe This month’s explosion of Pride month superhero comics may be winding down, but there’s still some nice queer news on the horizon for one of our favorite long-underwear characters. Marvel Comics’ universe-hopping Edge of Spider-Verse #5, which hits stores in September, will feature three new metaverse versions of Spider-Man — including the beloved character’s first gay incarnation, known as Web-Weaver. Marvel describes the character as a “not-so-mild mannered fashion designer at Van Dyne [Industries]” — the company owned by Janet Van Dyne, aka the Wasp — who “gets spider-powers and shows us a very different kind of Spider-Slayer.”
  10. Yeah, it's at $115,000. It's gonna stay there. AF15 is tanking
  11. Straw-man argument. Sun Mariner is depression era and he’s cool. Ditto with Human Torch.
  12. It’s not a game. Stop with the damn squishing books to death. You know how damn hard it is to find a key to complete a run that isn’t pressed and smooshed in an effort grab another couple of dollars.
  13. Is there a way to put yourself ignore?I’d like to not see or read my own posts
  14. I have no children because I want my comic collection to follow me into the next realm, down the River Styx.
  15. My wife and I are excited that you and your wife are excited. Do you guys swing?
