I think the allegation is they are bidding on their own books to buoy the rest of the collectible comic market. Something I have heard for years now. Since we don’t know the buyers or sellers no one can prove or disprove this. Just wondering if this has been going on all along, wouldn’t some disgruntled/former employee blow this sham operation up? Have I missed that part (yes- I know about the 80s coin thing, and saw the video on WATA)? And if this is happening, is it criminal?

I would say 4.5 -5.0 spine and general wear. Nice book!

They look sharp. I’d love copies of those slabbed in my collection. Need to pay off some stuff 😬 before I go hog wild again… but love these mags. The Eerie publication book that’s coming out will be perfect timing. I can amass my wish list!

Checking the census I see a tiny amount getting slabbed (only 4 on census for this issue). The covers are crazy cool- even when they are in VF condition. Guess I’ll just buck the trend and send my nicer copies in to slab. I averaged about $18 per issue on a recent purchase of 19 issues- so adding an additional $40 for slabbing a copy puts it at $58 per issue. Still seems crazy cheap. 🤷🏻

Why are there so few graded copies of Skywalds? Seems people slab all sorts of common comics with little sense, yet barely ever find a slabbed copy 🤷🏻

That one is not high grade - probably 6.0. Wasn’t very expensive- part of a large bundle of Skywalds I bought - some were super nice.

These Planets are beautiful - need to get them on my buy list someday
