Jack Davis! I thought of these when I saw this thread, but I haven't dug through any boxes with 70s stuff yet. I think he did a few different ads like this

I love these kinds of ads where they have a little comic shaming the person for having blackheads or not being able to dance or something and then after they use the product they are popular and loved.
This is a short one, usually the little comic involves a lot more shaming and telling the person they are no good.

Even though these contained reprints of earlier newspaper strips,
they were ones that I had never read but contained characters that
I was familiar with...and there was a lot of variety in each issue.

Cool. It's obvious from this cover that Bill Holman was a big influence on the cartoonist Kaz.

and by the great Howie Post, one of my favorites. I love all those More Fun covers he did.

Not creepy really, but it seems every time I open a comic, pulp or magazine from the 1930s even into the 1970s, I see this guys head. They used that same picture in their ads for like 50 years.

I love crazy DC scifi stuff. How could anyone not love stuff like this?...

sure it's sexual innuendo, but isn't about every other archie cover some kind of sexual innuendo or perverted joke about Betty and Veronica or some other girl?
