  2. See seller ravenpark671. I would make a link but I don't know how.

  4. These comics came back a couple of months ago but it took me a while to image them. I never get tired of 1950's DCs or Dell painted science fiction covers. Contact me if you have any you want to get rid of. The price guide and Stan Lee book are from 6 months ago. I hate the way the price guide is slabbed: the slab is over-sized and the book seems loose. I don't know if it could be done differently but it sure ain't done well.
  5. Set: Adventures of Alan Ladd Add: Adventures of Alan Ladd #3 Canadian Edition Slot Created. Thank you
  6. Old!!!! You think these are OLD? Suddenly I feel old....
  7. Please excuse me if this is common knowledge or if this info is easy for you to find. I have spend half an hour clicking around this web site and cannot locate any dimensions for encapsulation.
  8. Fresh from the Phoenix Con. Finally got William Shatner to sign my favorite Captain Kirk poster. Shatner seems to be a great guy and he sure knows how to entertain huge crowds. Add in some Adam Strange Mystery in Space and some high grade Gold Key and this was a great day. By the way, I know that you younger guys may not appreciate the Jesse Marsh artwork on John Carter but that would just be another example of youth being wasted on the young. Just sayin'.....
  9. I am confused. The label on Space Vixens (actually 3-D Zone #16) is not marked as a first print. I thought that was routine when a second or more prints were recognized. Also, if I remember correctly the 3-D glasses for this issue are "loose" meaning not stapled, bound or otherwise attached to the comic. I thought CGC would not include loose items in the case but the label seems to indicate that the glasses are included. Can someone help me out. I have a second print that I am on the verge of sending in but now I am not sure whether to include the glasses or not.
  10. You fixed the green but the apes are supposed to be purple and the camera blue. Non the less, a noble effort.
  11. The cover is from Pep Comics 22 which featured the very first appearance of Archie. Does this book reprint that Archie story? When was this published?
  12. Thank you. This one did it for me. I am 100% convinced that the book is faded and since that is not a flaw I can live with I am returning it to the seller. These chat rooms are priceless.
  13. I got this Congo Bill #6 this week and I'm having a little trouble deciding whether to keep it. The condition is great and the price was right but the cover colors are off. The thatch roof behind the title and tree (or is it another thatch roof?) above the ape with the camera are dark green on other copies I have seen. On this cover they are brown. And, the camera that the ape is holding is black and dark blue on other copies I have seen. On this cover it is black and lavender. I do not know if this is a printing error or fading. There are no other signs of fading. Please share your insight with me.
  14. Thanks. It only took about 35 years.
  15. Statues are like comic books: they come in Golden Age and Modern. I am not aware of any Silver Age statues. Anyway, I love the new statues but my wife thinks that my already takes up too much space in the house. And besides, the new female character statues are so sexy that I am afraid that if I brought one home the Wife may just rethink her lifelong (thus far) tolerance for my stuff.
  16. The Phoenix Comicon ended today and despite a little crazy person issue (some insufficiently_thoughtful_person brought real loaded guns to shoot the green Power Ranger or some such lunacy) the show was great. I had a very successful time on the dealer’s floor. The pictures include A) a higher-grade Avon one shot: who doesn’t love those. B) Robin Hood Tales #2, a comic with Matt Baker cover and art and NO SEXY GIRL. I did not know that this type of comic existed. C) a high grade Have Gun Will Travel #7 with a great Richard Boone photo cover, D) Man From UNCLE 1-3 with #2 being a double cover. Pure Gold Key goodness. E) very high-grade Gold Key Star Treks. I am in heaven. F) More surprising Gold Keys. I had never even heard of John Steele, maybe because this is the only issue. And check out that back cover pin-up. G) 2 fine Gorgos full of Steve Ditko art and one Ditko cover, H) a high-grade Lois Lane with Neil Adams cover. I got turned on to these by someone on the CGC Chat Boards and fell in love with them. Also, the Doc Strange 169 (#1) has one of the best covers from the Silver Age by the wonderful Dan Atkins. I believe that his artwork is grossly unappreciated. I) Barks Ducks: this is why we love comics. The covers work as great art and great gags , the writing is witty and laugh out loud funny, the stories are fast paced, exciting, full of twists and surprises, and loaded with character development and searching insight into the human condition, and the artwork is second to none of any genre anytime, anywhere and anywho. I know, I know: they are just duck stories. But believe me (and tens of thousands of others), these are the high-water mark for comics, right up there with Watchmen and Dark Knight Returns. If you do not experience these then you will never fully experience comics. Sort of like studying English and never reading Shakespeare or Spillane. Abd finally, J) Classics Illustrated. They are cheap, easy to find, and the ones that are good are great. Of course, the ones that are bad are horrible . Sort of like Marvel storylines. So, there it is. Sorry about the preachy Ducks digression, but someone has to say it.
