  1. It's been a while since I posted, but I thought I'd share my latest CGC shipment. I'm thrilled with these as I wasn't expecting 9.8s on a couple of them. I've just come to expect extremely harsh grading from CGC. The 9.8 on top of the Wreckers pile is the only new one from that group. I still need two more grade-worthy books to finish off that set. I'm about to send some of my rarest books I haven't graded yet to my guy for pressing. I also have another CGC group ready to go as soon as the funds are available.
  2. Those look great man! Congrats on completing the collection... as far as you know. ;-) With these books I always feel there's a chance we've missed something.
  3. Guys, I just wanted to post my two auctions of two CGC Transformer keys. If anyone is interested, I'd be happy to do an outside of eBay deal. Just PM me an offer. Thanks! Transformers: Till All Are One #1 RI-B 1:25 Milne Retailer Incentive CGC 9.8 http://www.ebay.com/itm/152375099701?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 Transformers: More Than Meets The Eye #12 RI Coller Retailer Incentive CGC 8.0 http://www.ebay.com/itm/152390401769?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
  4. I've read both. Both of them are strong starts. Some have said that Optimus Prime may even be stronger. Lost Light is definitely picking up where it left off with James Roberts usual wit.
  5. I have 5 books coming back, 2 of which will be for sell since I sent off multiples of a couple looking for the best grade. I should have them this weekend or Monday at the latest. Fast Track was really nice but it is $10 more per book, so it's only for the high dollar ones IMO. Getting a 9.9/10 I think is as much luck as anything. I've sent off some books (as I'm sure more CGCers have) that I could have sworn was better than a 9.8 but no luck. I don't know if your grader just has to be in a particularly good mood.
  6. He sells direct. I've bought from him. He's very busy though and difficult to get in touch with sometimes. First contact is usually through Twitter. He's a nice guy but persistence is key.
  7. There's also a limited foil variant available at this link: http://fanexpostore.com/comic-books/transformers-revolution-1-fan-expo-foil-edition.html
  8. Congrats on both the comic and the original! Too bad I didn't know he still had it or it would be mine! ;-) If it makes you feel better, I've had it for a little while now, it wasn't a new purchase, getting the comic finally is. That does make me feel a bit better. I just recently purchased the X-Men homage, so we're good. Nice job on the framing, BTW!
  9. Congrats on both the comic and the original! Too bad I didn't know he still had it or it would be mine! ;-)
  10. I've seen several of you mention buying directly from IDW a while back. When was that and how were they selling them? Through a site?
  11. Do you have any information on this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Transformers-Stormbringer-2-Figueroa-Wraparound-Incentive-Cover-Rare-/222148654398?hash=item33b917753e:g:NYAAAOSwvg9XWv6- Stormbringer #2 RI. This guys seems to think it's ultra rare. Thanks!
  12. Yeah, it would be interesting to know if there are others. This one had never been removed from its shipping board so it's in mint condition. It is unfortunate not to see his work anymore. I also picked up this off of eBay. Given it's rarity, I think I got a good deal on it. I'd say it's a 9.4/9.6 if pressed.
  13. Seems IDW doesn't only give away comics as incentives: This is a 150 copy incentive signed print from Stormbringer #3. Wreck and rule! I can't imagine that there are many of these out there.
  14. Since the thread is quiet, I'll post the rest of my haul from my last CGC submission here. Sorry if you've already seen this on other social media. Death of Optimus Prime 1:25 Variant Last Stand of the Wreckers #5 RI (Mistagged, back at CGC for correction.) Transformers #1 RI Transformers Infiltration #1 RI Set (I had the RI-A, the other two completed the set.) Bumblebee #4RI
  15. Yes they are and I'd be happy to take it off your hands. :-)
  16. Now to get a copy of JL #1 for display. It's not that expensive.
  17. I'm sorry if you've seen these already but here we go for this group. My newly graded MTMTE #1E 9.8: My set of MTMTE #1 issues graded at 9.8:
  18. Looking at Midtown, it's possible that the RI issue was delayed. They're only showing the regular and sub covers in stock. I thought I was looking at something wrong as well, but the regular book for Transformers #57 is showing as not being available until next week. Diamond delays? Production delays? Hasbro getting their grubby fingers even more involved? Transformers 57 Midtown I was talking about MTMTE, but either way, it looks like Midtown is quite confused. Look at the image for the RI cover on TF #57, it's the MTMTE #57 RI and MTMTE isn't showing an RI. I guess I'll see tomorrow when I go to my LCS.

  20. Not having Titans Returns wrapped up before they began Revolution is a real cluster! I'm reading them as I get them but I will probably reread once I have them all. The only other solution would have been to queue them up and just be behind. For example, I just read Revolutions #1 and there's Windblade with absolutely no information on how she got there because I don't have the issues where that happens. I'm disappointed that they couldn't work this out better. How can IDW screw that up? Commitments, delays, etc. I'm sure. FYI, if you're looking to read Revolutions, here's a reading order: http://www.howtolovecomics.com/2016/09/12/idw-hasbro-revolution-reading-order/ On my CGC collection, I'm getting 8 new slabs today fresh from CGC. Overall I'm very happy with the grades. Out of the 8, I only expected 2 to be better. One of them I'll probably crack, press, and resubmit. All will be shared once received.
  21. Thanks and congrats on the 10! That's a rare thing indeed! I look at the alternate covers (RI/RE, in particular due to the rarity) as pieces of art, since I'm collecting them for the covers. After all, I already have reader copies as the regular and subscription covers (as well as the trades). So I slab them for protection and to frame them. At that point I no longer have to worry about damaging them by handling too much and they are easy to display.
  22. Thanks for the welcome guys! Big fan of your work, Yoshi, on Transmissions. UltraMaximus, I guess I'll start there then. Here is what's currently hanging on the wall of my office: It's definitely the prize of my comic collection. I bought it off of eBay right before the prices started heating up. I wish The Killing Joke was a 9.9 as well but I'm not dropping that kind of money. Maybe I'll be lucky enough to have one graded myself at that one day. To add to this, this is my latest slabbed purchase: This is a book that I had been looking for for quite some time with no luck. I recently bought an ungraded one but found that, while the cover is gorgeous, the back has the awful waves that you get on some of the "plasticy" IDW covers. So I worked with the guy that had this one for sale and a small stack of others to get decent shipping from Canada. This is a beautiful 9.8 in a new CGC holder.
