  1. For those of you who have been waiting to combine shipping, I’m about to start up over in Mixed…it will be a long one, taking a few sessions to post everything. It hasn’t all been photographed yet, in fact.
  2. A brief word about what’s coming….it’s a hodge lodge from across all eras. There’s at least 20 affordable, Golden Age/50’s books, and there’s Harlan’s Shortbox. Harlan claimed they sat for 40 years in his closet because he bought them at some fundraiser auction for his temple. But I think he was fulla sh!-inola…. I think he was briefly a casual reader in the 80’s, as there’s a distinct Frank Miller/Bruce Jones theme. I bought them for read and release. Now we gonna release, along with various other oddities I’ve picked up for same — read and release. And I still have Joe Sinnott’s Archie file copies (yes, he worked there) open over in GSB. You may grab in both and combine shipping.
  3. 5 Simple Rules (Please, please read) 1st wins; tie/indeterminate goes to the thread. Payment is Check or Money Order (yeah, yeah I know I'm a dinosaur, troglodyte, luddite, mennonite, hermaphrodite etc. - I just don't have or want e-payments.) Shipping: Via USPS Priority; $10 for a Legal Flat Rate with a flip n ship mailer inside (approx. 8-12 books); Medium Priority Box at $17 for larger stacks. Don't be listy including the little one in my head. Returns: Sure, just notify me within three days of receipt and get it back to me in the same shape on your dime, except no returns on graded books. (Kudos thread linked under my avatar.)
  4. Ok, let’s commence with the goat-roping, right now, over in Mixed….
  5. Doing this from memory but I think k I’m calling in the right guy… @nochips don’t you have a lot of 3-packs experience? Or have I got the wrong boardie?
  6. Ok, I am finally going to start shooting those books for the subsequent random thread over in Mixed, for those who want to combine shipping with items from this small thread. I’ll keep this open until that one is a wrap. I’ll open it over there asap, but I’d better get to pictures in order to do so. Stay tuned.

  8. Since posting this, the undercopy is now gone. But there’s an All Star #33 in the PC.
  9. I always loved the cover and thought it was underpriced for a long time, for a first issue for a long-running series. I had been up to seven, now I’m down to three. Used some in stacks of books that were traded for tougher books. I have a full Iron Man run, so I can’t go to zero unless/until I’m letting the whole run go. I would like to read it end to end first. (I started assembling it off the racks with #76, then backfilled. But I’d like to reread it in order, a few a day, in as compressed a time frame as possible.)
  10. Five-time Gant Series 192 & 196, Laugh Out 23, Laugh 270 and Everything's Archie 6 all go to KCOComics! Thank you Kevin!
  11. I'm keeping this thread to the Archie body of work, but I hope to obtain some more Atlas to share. I've only sold a couple thus far, and obtained a handful of keepers. I'm still working on getting more. What's been made available to me is late pre-code/early post-code Atlas war and westerns. A couple that I had at first obtained thinking I'd let go I decided to keep. Many of these Atlas books appear to be candidates to top the census if graded. Of course, many are low-population books, and some of that could be because they don't get submitted, but I think its pretty established that Atlas war books are tough to find in grade. I will get more to share with the boards though. I have not obtained very many yet.
  12. You would certainly would know better than me; but that color is such an overspray color that the possibility struck me, however remote.
