  1. That’s awesome! I had no idea there was any new art in any of those books! Congrats!
  2. In the finale, #23-24, he returns to NYC at full size, and we get a homage to FF #25-26 as the Fantastic Four and the Avengers face a full-size Godzilla in Manhattan.
  3. Gradually, he gets big again. A man-sized Godzilla slugs it out with Dum Dum Dugan and Gabe Jones on the docks of New York. At dinosaur-size, he battles the FF, who use Dr Doom’s time machine to return him to the prehistoric era, where….
  4. Series takes an interesting turn as Shield turns to Hank Pam to shrink Godzilla.
  5. I didn’t get these as a kid; I recently re-read them and realized it was their “Valley of Gwangi” or “Beast of Hollow Mountain” homage.
  6. Godzilla #1-#24 (full set; grades vary) autographed by Herb Trimpe and Dan Green (every issue that either one worked on.) $500 shipped within U.S.
  7. First, a word about why it’s special. It’s my mostly off the racks run, but thats not why it’s special. That’s just it’s provenance/history, for them that likes to know. I discovered the title with #2 and faithfully plucked it off the racks, later mail-ordering a #1 and a couple later issues that I missed on the stands. If it’s a more Fine-range book, I got it off the stands and read the heck out of it. The VFish and better-looking books came a little later as mail order, for the most part. Though my 15 and 16 are nice but I know I got those off the rack. So it’s not a perfect rule. Now, why is it special? Every issue that Herb Trimpe and/or Dan Green worked on is signed by them, as you’ll see in the following pictures. They signed on the white margins of the splash pages of all issues except #4, on which Herb only did the cover, so he signed that; and #5, which is unsigned as neither guy had a hand in it. (GCD notes cover as “Herb Trimpe?” — I’m confident they can remove the question mark - it ain’t Herb or he would have signed it.) As a high schooler, I organized a comic con in the Hudson Valley and both Herb and Dan, among others came as guests to support a local teens’ comic club effort. I’m not heartless; I can let them go because I also have a Hulk sketch by Herb that Dan inked from that same day. It’s time for this set to be shared with the comics community. I’d like to move it as a set as I don’t want to end up with a mish mosh half set or so, but if enough boardies want one I guess I could break it up and maybe keep either #1 or #23 and 24. But I’m offering it as a set for now. Price and pics to follow.

Returns: Sure, just notify me within three days of receipt and get it back to me in the same shape, on your dime. (Kudos thread linked under my avatar.)
  9. Odd to see this thread just now. Walked into my LCS today and the owner was saying the same thing about books he had submitted - system tracking disappeared.
  10. This! I’m sorry but if the guy is asking double fmv, your half off offer is not a lowball.
  11. I’ve only seen it once (more than three covers), years ago. A fellow collector locally had an E-Man #1 (Charlton) with a half dozen or so covers.
  12. Ya gotta love a Lizards2 thread. I stop in to threadkrap and I’m greeted by an image of the president with Kermit the Frog dressed as Napoleon … I see things are proceeding swimmingly in here
  13. You people are all wrong — it’s a bad drawing of Wolverine and Sabertooth. Sheesh.
  14. Chuck, I just want to congratulate you on your buyout of Bedrock Comics
