  6. 5 Simple Rules (Please, please read) 1st wins; tie/indeterminate goes to the thread. Payment is Check or Money Order (yeah, yeah I know I'm a dinosaur, troglodyte, luddite, mennonite, hermaphrodite etc. - I just don't have or want e-payments.) Shipping: USPS Priority between $8 (flip n ship mailer in a Legal Flat Rate Envelope) to $15 (Medium Priority Box) for raws. I may add in a few slabs; they would be $15 to ship. Will do my best to combine/condense on large stacks. (We're gonna see a Magazine Box o' books over several nights; it could happen...) Don't be listy including the little one in my head. Returns: Raws; sure, just notify me within three days of receipt and get in back to me in the same shape on your dime. No returns on slabs. (Kudos thread linked under my avatar.)
  7. Oh my God, it's on! First time ever in Copper/Modern! The rules, the rules! Where did he put the rules???
  8. And if you do click on one of the era choices, you get far fewer listings than normal/previously in any of the categories. I haven’t even tried OA searches yet; regular comics was hard enough with this “improvement.”
  9. I guess people are just looking for unexplored corners that seem like a decent bet to be mined by the MCU at some point
  10. I don’t know when Champions 7 caught on, but I just looked now and it surprised me that it had caught on.
  11. I was going to say nah, we’re just kicking around the Soviet Super Soldiers 1sts while they are mostly still cheap, but a quick peek at eBay sold looks like Darkstar is getting spec’ed like Hulk 258. The first apps in Iron Man 109 are being called out in the listings, but the book is not hitting the $20 plus mark like copies of the other 2.
  12. I wouldn’t go out of my way on these either, but the three bronze books (Champions 7, Hulk 258, Iron Man 109) are the kind that are likely sitting in old school LCS bins for a couple bucks each. Low risk if you’re able to fish out nice copies.
  13. True, the original Crimson Dynamo first appears in TOS #46, a silver age book, but that is entirely beside the point I was making. Maybe I was unclear; maybe you misread. You had pointed out that Hulk #258 is heating up and includes the first appearance of the Soviet Super-Soldiers, a team comprised on one of the bajillion Crimson Dynamos, Darkstar, Vanguard and Ursa Major. I was just adding that three years earlier, the same team except for Ursa Major, appeared in Iron Man #109, without calling themselves by any team name. That is why I was analogizing it to Brave and the Bold #54 and the Teen Titans. Iron Man #109 has no heat and may as well be grabbed now if the suspicion is there's heat around the team. (As @the blob pointed out, the Hulk #258 heat may only be around Ursa Major, who apparently will appear in the Black Widow movie.) Soviet Super-Soldiers' individual first appearances: Crimson Dynamo - TOS #46 (original version, Alex Nevsky). Dmitri Bukharin, the "good guy" Crimson Dynamo of the Soviet Super-Soldiers, first appears in Iron Man #109. But Nevsky was the original "villain" Crimson Dynamo from TOS. Darkstar - Champions #7 Vanguard - Iron Man #109 (he is Darkstar's brother) Ursa Major - Hulk #258 (also first time team is called the Soviet Super-Soldiers) Sorry for any confusion; you put out a lot of good info here and its appreciated! I was just pointiing out a still-under-the-radar Soviet Super Soldiers book.
  14. Soviet Super Soldiers have their own Brave and the Bold 54, which is under the radar: Darkstar, Vanguard (1st app.) and Crimson Dynamo (IIRC; only the other 2 are on the cover) take on Iron Man on the moon in Iron Man #109; much earlier book.
  15. Now $325 shipped within U.S. (This is the only price cut I will make on this one. )
  16. This is the way. I could see moving 4 of the Ant books but TTA 27 is very early Marvel; there’s three 10-cent books from the birth of the Marvel Universe, that one and FF 1 & 2. Pre-internet, the book was apocryphal in comics shops, one of the least common of the Marvel keys, if not the least. JIM 83 is the bigger key, but they are both top 10 Marvel silver keys, so I would try not to let the 27 go if I were in your shoes.
  17. It is, but there’s heroes in it too, so I think others passed it over as an answer in the spirit of the question.
  18. Other pertinent info: acquired it slabbed, so I do not know pressing history, though it does not look like it has been, nor do I see any huge benefit other than maybe flattening that whiff of spine roll and cleaning it a bit. Might make it look better, but I don’t know if that’s enough to move the grade much. Comps I am looking at (eBay sold) — CBCS 1.8 for $375 plus shipping (BIN) on April 20; CGC 2.5 for $420 plus shipping (BIN) on April 10; CGC 2.0 for $345.58 plus shipping (auction) on April 9.
  19. Neither; it’s the reflection of my iPad, which I used to photograph it. Thank you for asking that!
  20. 5 Simple Rules: 1st gets the book; tie/indeterminate goes to the thread. Payment is Check or Money Order. Shipping: USPS Priority box shipping included. Don't be listy including the little one in my head. Returns: No returns on cgc-graded books.
