    Thread is cleaned up, still a dozen cool books in there, and there has been a big price drop and grade drop on the Special War Series #4 -- I missed a slight cover spine split and mistook it for a crease Thanks to an eagle-eyed boardie who questioned the photo! I have seven books to add tonight, no re-runs among them. Half a dozen Marvel silver age and a cool 1958 oddball. Stay tuned!

    Also, I’m noticing that pinkish rectangle on the margins of the paper, first and last pages, closest to the spine about 2/3 the way up. Now you’ve got me pulling golden age books and checking for that. But I think that’s a thing on more recent paper rolls.

    Mike, it looks to me like a Treasury edition with the outer cover removed. That spine is crisply folded like they are, not plump with a nice roll like a 1940 DC. Maybe ask him for a picture next to another comic book? You need something in the pic for size perspective.

    That Mike Benton pre-code crime book is a great read; loaded with good info about the most brutal stories etc; all that good pre-code madness and badness. Mine is always handy!
