  1. IF they’re creative in their FF approach, I wouldn’t count them out. I could see the Torch popping up or even co-starring in a Spidey film, a Torch/Thing Disney+ series, or even Thing or Human Torch solo films. Nailing these 2 with good writing and actors who can bring them to life, especially Ben Grimm, is crucial. Imagine a Thing-focused movie loosely based on FF55, for example. The FF clearly needs a different approach than it has received, but there is a lot that could be done with them. It’s not the Avengers formula, though, successful as it was.
  2. That’s a good question, Ben. I don’t have a scanner; when I post it’s photos from a tablet. I can try to shoot one of my Classics where I used one inside a Mylites2.
  3. That’s it for the Fawcetts, but I’ll leave this open for a bit and try to come back with some more Golden Age books this week. I am going to try to get the rest of my Mixed thread shot and posted tomorrow (some GA in there currently), then pull and shoot the other Golden Age I have in mind for a Round II for this thread. Thank you lookers and takers; stay tuned for more (non-Fawcett) Golden Age this week
  4. SOLD! My one re-list...Captain Midnight #5 FR/GD (Feb 1943) CF detached, some chippiness at edges and browning, lower splitting, but pages supple enough to read. A couple coverless copies on eBay are in the $90 ask range; let’s go (WAS $60) NOW $50
  5. Whiz Comics #38 in GD- (December 25, 1942 issue) CF detached, cover and 1st wrap split to lower staple. Lower staple still attached at back, top staple fully attached. Great stories and art. Comps tough, eBay seems high. A FN+ sold on Heritage in April 2020 for $132. 20 copies on census. Let’s go (WAS $75) NOW $60
  6. Captain Marvel Adventures #30 (December 1943) VG/VG- Please note in centerfold that is not a missing page; it is a wartime book, some of which had single-leaf pages to save on paper use. Complete and attached single-staple book. Edit — there is also a tape repair at the staple. Looks like reinforcement, not reattachment. (WAS $100) NOW $85
  7. It’s a board; I stumbled into them in an LCS. Not cheap at 5 for $15 but probably cheaper online.
  8. There is some Charlton bronze war in the stack. Nothing like that FC #10 though; how that doesn't get a classic cover designation is beyond me. I guess EC's without hangings, beheadings, suicides etc. just get overlooked...
  9. Posting in my Fawcett thread in G/S/B tonight, but there will be a few more oddities and odds n' ends added here in the coming days...stay tuned... You Might Find it!
  10. Triple Crown Swamp Thing #171, Miracleman #1, and Frontline Combat #10 go to ChasingKingKirrby! Thank you again Michael!
  11. Going to go clean up my Mixed thread, grab my bourbon, and start back here in a bit. Captain Marvel Adventures, Whiz, Capt Midnight and Suspense Detective coming up.
  12. Glad it worked for you, Russ! I tried them for a couple of my first print Classic Comics (Classics Illustrated) with those "next issue" ads.
  13. I’m stumped. I’ve sent art to Canada with no more info than I would domestically, but that’s my only reference, and not necessarily the same thing. @Unstoppablejayd any clue re: international buying?
