  1. No, I bought the book -- and the last 80 or so books in the guy's collection -- from the original owner, who grew up in Massachusetts. Most of books came from the same store and had a similar stamp. He also wrote his initials "M.R." On the margin of the splash page on many of the books. There's an FF#1 out there somewhere that he sold before we met.
  2. $300 SHIPPED PRIORITY IN U.S.! First wins; tie/indeterminate goes to the thread. Payment: Check or Money Order. Shipping included in price. Returns: Sure, just notify me within three days of receipt and get it back to me in the same shape in your dime. Don't be listy including the little one in my head. The Books: 81-book Sandman lot; you get: Sandman #1-75, Special #1, Gallery of Dreams #1 and Death the High Cost of Living #'s 1-3 with error and corrected versions of #3. Additionally, Death 1 is signed by Chris Bachalo, still sealed by Limited Treasured Editons, COA #3799 of 10,000. Grades range through the run from F+ to NM with most being higher; keys as follows: #1 VF+ to VF/NM (see pressable crease on back cover), 4 NM, 8 NM. More pix/details? Just ask; will shoot and post. Take the lot for $300 shipped within U.S. (It will take two very full Medium Priority Boxes to fit this lot.)
  3. Glad to hear you liked it @Raze Some underrated Starlin DC work there, introducing Mongul into the Superman mythos. I haven't been counting, but I'm into the second volume of Preacher TPB's and I'm liking it. Also so far this year: the full run of Black Monday Murders (cant recommend it enough), first two volumes of Saga (grew on me) and a couple volumes of Fables (Willingham never disappoints: I still miss the Elementals!)
  4. Sorry to hear; we'll be here waiting Focus on you; best wishes for feeling better fast! (Cuz feeling lousy sux!)
  5. Thank you both @davet75 and @Unstoppablejayd ! Sure enough, Davet75's technique worked and I have a confirmed stamp of 10:59 on my screen; as Unstoppablejayd said, Davet75 is in under the gun and is our with a bid of $63 on Weird Adventures #3! Thank you Dave I couldn't settle it last night as I was on my iPad and couldn't mouse over at the time. (On the laptop now) Then, I got caught up in vol 1 of Preacher TPB and next thing I know its 1 in the morning!! No wonder people liked this series; sure is different. And thank you again all bidders, watchers and krappers! I hope everyone had fun with this.
  6. First of all, thanks to ALL participants for making this fun! I need "X minutes ago" to convert to a date/time stamp, which it seems happens when the current day has passed. In fairness, I need to see the time conversion to call it between @davet75 and @Unstoppablejayd, two great Boardies! Hope this is cool with both of you guys, to wait until we get an actual time stamp on the post.
  7. It looks like Davet by a nose under the wire, thank you for jumping in! Right now, posts are reading "X minutes ago," not an actual time stamp yet. I will confirm soon as the board converts the posts to the actual times. In the meantime, I will thank everyone and keep reading vol 1 of Preacher in TPB....this must be what it was like at the horse track during a photo finish before digital....
  8. Two-minute warning....Unatoppablejayd about to walk away with the prize at $50 barring a last-minute bid because he likes the little lizard....let's get some final commentary from a lizard expert .... @lizards2

  12. My pleasure, Corey! I know you're working on the low #'s and figured you might want a River City in the mix if it was an issue you needed.
