  1. Welcome! I also have a Golden Age thread open in G/S/B if you're into GA too, or looking to dip your toe in. Lots of both Copper and Modern to come here; keys, oddballs, some early Valiants, a full run of Gaiman's Sandman, my old kitchen sink; if its from 1982/83 forward it's fair game! Payment is Check or Money Order; I do not have or want PayPal. First wins; tie/indeterminate goes to the thread. Shipping: US Priority flat rate legal $8 for the first few books; $15 for medium priority box beyond that. (If I can save you some shipping with a Region B priority box, I will.) Don't be listy including the little one in my head. Returns: Sure, just notify me within three days and get it back to me in the same shape on your dime.
  2. OK everyboardie, that's everything that will be offered in this thread. Plenty left, so I will leave this open for a while; I know I sometimes hem and haw on some books before taking them. BUT I will also scoot over to Copper/Modern now and start a thread there. Lots of books to come, but I'll just do a few to give the general flavor tonight. So if you want to watch that one too, that's awesome. If you're not interested and want your books from this thread, just PM me and I'll get a PM tally to you, probably tomorrow. Either way, thanks to all takers, lookers and krappers. Once again, what started as a sales thread also turned into a board conversation thread, and that is my favorite kind of sales thread, whether mine or anyone's else's. Thanks gang for participating; its the only way we bring our little virtual world to life, after all. I'm off to Copper/Modern....
  3. Archie's Pals 'n Gals #6 in VG+ to VG/FN. Unusually nice, intact paper on spine for a squarebound. 1957-1958 edition, per indicia. Early Elvis parody (2nd after Jughead's Folly?) $50
  4. SOLD via PM! Star Spangled Comics #18 in Poor, though it is complete. I am confident this book would get a .5, not a 1.0, because the wraps, though still attached except for the centerfold at the single staple, are splitting and chipping from brittleness at the spine. That said, the pages are flexible. You can read them but it may become loose pages. Looks nice in Mylar or in a slab if you don't mind the upper left number. Again, it's a Gerber 7 with 10 universals and 4 Restored. Minor GA key; origin of the Star-Spangled Kid. Sweet Simon and Kirby cover, inside art. (WAS $50) NOW $30
  5. Captain Midnight #5 in FR/GD. Obvious lower left issues and spine issues below single staple. Centerfold detached but book is complete other than lower left. (WAS $125) NOW $100
  6. Well, the bad news is I'm a smidge later than I planned....but the good news is there's eight more books for this thread, not four. But I have to shoot three more of them. We'll get going shortly!
  7. @eccomic @Pat Calhoun @Gotham Kid Throwing a hail Mary, guessing if anyone might have any insights it would be you guys. Or you might know the right boardie to call in. Am I crazy??
  8. @speedcake You've got my old membership card!
  9. Ok, I'm in....but just this one pulp, you understand???? Dec 22, 1934
  10. Gotta blame @Ricksneatstuff and @BuscemasAvengers for this one! Rick in general for raising awareness and interest in pulps of late, and Buscemas in specific for offering a copy in his sales thread. (This is not that one, but that is where I first saw it.) Thank you both! I'll have to give you both a personal I invite to my next men's adventure mags thread!
