  1. Doll Man #43 GD with cover neatly detached. Fun horror cover/story that features a creature that could have inspired the 50's sci-fi Blob movies. Torchy story too. (WAS $40) NOW $30
  2. Liberty Comics #10 in GVG. 1946 Green Publications with a killer splash by Bob Fujitani; three Hangman stories plus Boy Buddies Roy and Dusty. Very cool unsigned horror cover, emblazoned across the bottom with an ad for a Congressional candidate. Go figure. $50
  3. SOLD via PM! Zip Comics #41 in GD. Harry Sahle cover detached at single staple; couple center wraps detached. All here, big ol' fat funnybook from 1943. Mix of superheroes and humor, a transitional book as Archie takes over MLJ. Only 4 on census; a pair of 7.0 tied atop. This would be a "compare to ebay" moment right here, folks. (WAS $200) NOW $175
  4. I know what you mean, Bob.... I had been looking for the book because it's a kind of under the radar bookend to CDNP 46, a great example of the truly most disturbing stuff published in comics in the '50's and therefore a piece of hobby history. I just happened to come across one he signed. I wonder if whoever got it signed asked him about it? To me, this is some of the most amazing (that it was done at all) GA...the candid depictions of the darker side of the real world, like many a St John romance cover.
  5. Never had the chance to meet him, but I do have his autograph. Man #1 can be difficult to find with its disturbing cover; hunted for it for a while. The copy I found happened to be signed by him.
  6. More later; got at least another round of Gold in me! I might also open a Copper/Modern if I can fit it in; for those interested we're looking at a full run of Gaiman Sandman, a handful of recent modern keys, and some of the tougher early Valiant keys, plus maybe a meat-and-potatoes copper key or two. We'll see.
  7. SOLD! American Air Forces #6 (aka A-1 #54) in GD- Note pair of vertical tears in bottom back cover, about 4" long. Cover detached. Note also very cool stamp that someone punched into the cover (I cannot read it; don't know if it's from a base, or a kid playing with mom or dad's stamp.) Bob Powell cover. $10
  8. Roy Rogers #6 VG- Option A - take it for (WAS $10) NOW $5 Option B - take Roy Rogers #1 (thread page 2) and receive this FREE It's the funnybook equivalent of the Golden Corral buffet! Yee-hah!
