  1. Quick update before I grill dinner....plan remains the sme, just moving much more slowly with a houseful at all times. Hoping to get one more round of books shot and posted in this thread, and open a copper/modern with early Valiants, a few modern keys (I use the term loosely; we're talking Modern books), and a couple copper meat 'n potatoes books -- nothing monstrous though, no triple sig 9.8 Dell'Otto variant mocha latte NM98 or anything like that....
  2. If you look back from the beginning of the thread, at books posted before tonight, many but not all of those just got a price cut, some hefty....but since there's a lot of people hanging out in this thread currently, I'm just announcing it here for now, not changing the headline until the a.m. … so its like the secret menu at Starbucks, or one of those L.A. clubs with no sign, you just gotta know where the door is.... Thank you everyone for the takes and for making this sale thread a conversation at a time when we all need it, and each other! Funnybooks will get us through!
  3. In what might be the steal of the thread, Nancy and Sluggo #16 (#1) goes to Bounty Coder! Thank you! Its a very cool, not common to find book that should get more love! Enjoy!
  4. Pop it in here too; I love when a thread is an actual hang-out/discussion! And hi Don! @oceans11 Are we bidding each other up on Tim Holt #30's when they come to market??
  5. That was yours? Too cool! This is another one of those western series with a few underrated, under the radar gems in it. #34 is one of them. Though the strong price for the solid VGish ebay copy says maybe people are noticing this run beyond the great Frazetta Ghost Rider issues.
  6. I've got nothing else photographed currently, but I get the impression you guys would rather I make one more pass thru tomorrow for Gold that I might part with before I open a Copper/Modern thread??? Izzat right?
  7. Thank YOU! I'm stir-crazy myself, but looking back at those four books, all are pretty bright, staining on the Strong Man aside; the colors are still vibrant.
  8. Famous Funnies #8 in VG. March 1935, featuring Buck Rogers, Jane Arden, Joe Palooka, Napoleon. Racist caricatures. A comparable copy sold on ebay for just over $235; a cover-detached copy is currently available there at $170. These don't grow on trees, so let's say $225.
  9. Okay, that was the last item I had shot for tonight, but I do have pix of one more I had offered previously then thought about keeping. It is technically pre- 'Tec 1, Platinum Age, the oldest book I own, from 1935...
  10. SOLD! Bobby Benson's B-Bar-B Riders #18 in VG+ to FN-. Ayers horror cover, second only to #14 in the run, IMO. Some of you may recall I completely lost my mind a couple years ago and bought a 16-longbox collection that was 90% Classics Illustrated...this was among the other 10%. $40
  11. SOLD via PM! Pep #71 -- Here's a tough, classic Betty cover, unfortunately its in Poor due to a missing last page. Cover has splitting to top staple but is hanging on at bottom staple. (WAS $50) NOW $40
