  1. I walked into the LCS and there it was, so I had to -- low grade be danged!
  2. Lower grade than I might prefer, but I walked into the LCS and there it was, so here it is.
  3. Oh, it aint over! Theres still Eerie, and a batch of men's adventure mags that make pre-code crime and horror books look.like the Sunday church bulletin!
  4. Thanks Charlie! They came from the same collection as that Eerie #23 you grabbed. That was a nice book too, but these were the far outliers.
  5. I promise I'll shoot them next; there's nine issues between #'s59 and 14. Likely Saturday night; tomorrow if I get ambitious and get to bed soon tonight. I need one early night before another late-night posting session. If its tomorrow, I'll pop an approx. time announcement (EST) in the thread.
  6. I was pleasantly surprised by the overall condition of these mags when I got them, but the 10 and 14 were definitely outliers to the good. High-grade mags kinda stun me; cognitive dissonance kicks in when I see them. I just keep looking for flaws, but both have as few or fewer than 9.4 comic slabs I have.
  7. No luck, Mike. But the guy had an extensive collection and wouldn't part with them all … yet... He wanted to hang onto military covers especially, so there may be parachutes, but not among those I was able to get him to part with. These things are a hoot; read and release for me or they could be their own rabbit hole just like comics.
  8. That's all I've got ready to go tonight, but there's more to come (ok, I LOVE this pic! )
  9. SOLD! Pizzazz #16 (Jan 1979) subscription insert intact. Going with VG+'due to residue from subscription label removal, on lower cover. Would otherwise be high side of Fine. How many Marvel-published Superman covers are there? $10
  10. That does it for the Creepys; I will shoot the nine Eeries next and get them up over the weekend, then we will move onto the men's adventures mags to round it out. But first.... a touch of pizzazz.....
  11. Creepy #2 in VG+ to VG/FN. Frazetta cover. Note 1" vertical tear top of cover into logo "C". $25
  12. SOLD! Creepy #3 in VF (compare to eBay VF-range offerings) Frazetta, Gray Morrow, Joe Orlando) $40
  13. Two Creepys left.... This guy had a #1, probably between a 7.0 and 8.0, but I only got a glance at it in the bag. He insisted on keeping it to slab. So I don't have one to offer, but #'s 2 and 3 are up next....
  14. SOLD! Creepy #10 NM; contains Frank Brunner's first published work, a fan club sketch. $100
