  1. Oh well, worth an ask ... And especially worth a chance to plug a sales thread from a great boardie! GLWTS! (Though I really do want to read Creepy 63 too; all the magazine aficionados say it's a classic.) Happy Thanksgiving to you as well!
  2. Hey Dan, any chance ya got a reading copy of Creepy #63 in that stash?
  3. Maybe I'm not correctly following your goals (investment/enjoyment, both long-term?) but why not hunt for a real cover for a while? One of the best parts guys out there is already in this thread @zzutak and the boards have a way of turning stuff up when you put the word out. There's an "I wanna get married" thread for parts searchers in Golden Age. I could maybe see having the resto person crack it tomdeacidify while waiting, plus you can then get/do the definitive check for panels, coupons etc completeness. Only possible downside is interim storage while you search if the brittleness level is pretty bad. A book of its size is a carful insertion even in the my.ars that are meant for them. Are there magazine size mylars? That might be easier to insert into safely for a temporary home if it's brittle.
  4. Or maybe the real question is the significance of the brief appearance? Wolverine has one cool-looking "here I am" panel, but for all you know from that, Hulk backhands him next issue, never to be seen again. Without 181, you just don't know. Darkseid is just a head on a screen in one panel, but whatever exactly he says (can't recall without digging it out) he's clearly the new bad@ss mastermind not to be trifled with. Not much of a look at him, but we get the idea about him. Just trying to dig us a new rabbit hole in familiar soil; don't much care either way. But it makes some sense, no?
