  1. I remember that too, but I cannot remember why. It has been too long since I read 337-339 -- like since buying them off the racks! I don't even have those books anymore.
  2. I just want to point out that while they are mostly lower grade (except for the Ideal), Roy Rogers #1, Adventure #107, Ideal #3 (Joan of Arc), Patsy Walker #12, Superman #72 and friggin' Weird Adventures #3 (PCH bondage/hypodermic needle cover) are all still sitting unsold on the first three pages of this thread.
  3. chicken dinnah! Gold Key Doc Savage #1 and All in Color for a Dime go to Srezvan! Thank you thank you!
  4. ChasingKingkirby! He's no longer chasing Doc Magnus, he's got Showcase #37! Thank you!
  5. I had always assumed the other two were assuming the mantle of Thor-hood, whereas Cap was simply worthy enough to life it and did so at a time while Thor was still in his role as the Thunder God. But without rereading a lot of books I last read long ago, I have no idea whether this logic bears out.
  6. Okay, that concludes round one and that is maybe a quarter of what is going to be in this thread. Lots more to come; Gold, Silver, Bronze including magazines; paperbacks, a Marvel Masterwork, God only knows what else. Thanks to all lookers, takers and crappers thus far! I will update the solds and hit the sack. Not sure if round 2 will be tomorrow or Monday, depends on when I can shoot more. But...when it comes... You Might Find It!
  7. SOLD! Showcase #37 1st Metal Men, Fair; cover appears to be completely split and reattached with staples (my guess, I got it this way). $30
  8. SOLD! Marvel Super Special #22 VF/NM Blade Runner, Steranko cover. $20
  9. Superman #72 in about a 1.5. Cover restapled, edges of cf pages have tape on them, but it's all here and attached. $60
  10. Dell Movie Classic None But the Brave VG (note tape pull) Frank Sinatra cover. (He's on it, he didn't draw it) $8
  11. SOLD! Gasm Magazine Feb, April and June 1978 issues (#3-5, I think). Nice-presenting VG copies, slit top spine splitting, some tape on #5. Not common mags. Your choice $7 each or take the three for $20.
  12. SOLD! Four Color #938 Elmer Fudd FN-. $5 I think this is the one where he fights the Batman Who Laughs....no, wait....Bugs Bunny, that's it....he fights Bugs Bunny in this one ...
  13. SOLD! Obviously, Jack Chick tracts are next....just in case your mind isn't warped by now... Crusaders #11 and 12, take the pair for $10
  14. FYI … very weird, that Adventure is much darker/less bright in hand. The photo somehow makes it look cleaner than it is.
  15. Adventure Comics #107 in about a 2.0. Cover is dirty and wavy, seemingly once wet, cf detached but book is complete and interior pages are nicely readable. Comps are tough but a VG+ sold in 2010 for $131. Let's say $125 Superboy, Johnny Quick, Aquaman, Green Arrow, Shining Knight .... Lots of GA bang for the buck.
  16. SOLD! New Adventures of Huck Finn #1 1968 based on Hanna-Barbera TV show. VG $10
