  1. Thx, but you should see @comicjack's copy! What thread did you post that CGC 8.0 in??? I'm just happy to have the book at all, and I like that it comes from a disassembled bound volume of untrimmed books. Somehow, the damage ain't as bad when it's GA period charm.
  2. Lordie Lordie, these just in from two awesome boardies! Thank you @catrick339 (Jungle) and @comicdonna (Fritzi)
  3. Boardie books inna house!!! Big thank you's to @comicdonna (Fritzi) and @catrick339 (Jungle).
  4. This reminds me -- somewhere down the line, Radioactive Man replaced the adhesive X gun that Zemo armed him with in Avengers #6 with a cement gun. Whatever issue that is is a sleeper Marvel villain key
  5. Cap and Giant-Man; Iron Man drove. Why he just didn't pull the tow chains himself I'm not sure.
  6. Well, this guy is certainly no Matter Eater Lad....
  7. I'm with @KirbyJack let's get back on track with the Paste Pot Pete keys!
  8. Har-Dee-HAR-HAR! Every bit a 2.0-2.5, and STILL a great book!
  9. ...which is an upgrade from his current status! Geez, he's a Marvelized Flash rogue, not Doctor Doom! Captain Boomerang is fine company for the fellow.
  10. I'm at 2.5 with potential more for more from a good presser (assuming nothing goes awry; there's always that risk). But I'd go 2.5 as is from the pix. Congrats Eli!
  11. Bronze are as new as I go generally, as they were my off the racks grade school books. I more actively collect golden age these days, but I love filling in bronze reader runs. I'll occasionally read and release early copper too, as that transitional early 80's timeframe is when I began buying back issues (mostly earlier bronze and silver, from before my racks time, to fill in and read runs.) Still have my Iron Man, Avengers, Defenders full sets, and my X-Men from 94-150; over time they hold up as my faves, but you could probably set me down for a quiet afternoon with any number of bronze runs and I'd read them and have a temporary new fave for a while.
  12. Thought experiment: If Pete had been introduced as The Trapster as a Flash rogue in an early DC, how desirable is his first appearance?
  13. Let's start again! A is obviously for America's Best!
  14. Thanks for the background, Hector! That one was totally new to me, hadn't heard it before. But then again, apropos of your chart posted in this thread, there's so much noise to signal ratio in the "news" today that I try to keep a low information diet.
  15. Plus, he was Thor with a dog head. Good point! I still think the Beyonder with his breakdancing pants and coiffed hair was more dopey than the two of them combined. Dude coulda used a French artist beret, and that's saying something!
  16. He supports pedophilia? That's far more loathsome than taking misdirected potshots at a dead guy's popularity/celebrity/cultural contributions. Loathsome on the part of his employers as well, if this is actually the case. @jsilverjanet talked about many not holding the right folks accountable; geez that's a widespread societal problem. I do suspect many don't know how (I often do not, in any meaningful way in a large and legally convoluted society) but I also think many are far too willing to look the other way when a buck is at stake. Again, first I've heard this about him, but IF it's true it's a case in point: there's far worse things about this man than comments that some constituencies (in this case comics fans) can construe as offensive.
