If by "symbolic" you mean "stupid and bearing no similarity to the story" then, yeah, it's symbolic.

No special hair powers then you're saying, Andy? Might as well have just used one big nail to the forehead then. Quite wasteful really, those Medusa Men. Still, nice to see that nails are still in production though, in the future.

  2. The Medusa Man is actually quite scary there isn't he, for a kids comic. Looks like the other chap has brought the 'whole edifice down' on this occasion though. No doors to the balcony presumably, in space town.

Is the nailing down of the girl's hair symbolic, or does she have special hair powers which need to be contained?

  3. I think I've mentioned this before elsewhere, but it always looked to me like she was kneeling in fire on this cover. It's not a story I've ever read (in reprint form of course). Another cover star whose fate I can only guess at for now.

I know its after the America 1st issue yes so its the 2nd issue (copy)  of same comic for Britain is that correct. To be sold in Britain. Thanks

Yes, it was printed in the US and shipped over to be sold in the UK market. Some say they were printed first! Not that it matters really. Nice book Liza :)

  5. 'The Last Mohican' would work wouldn't it, thinking about it. 40,000 Mohicans could be the 'Last of the...' if none followed them. I wish people would be more clear AJD :D

What do you think they're saying to each other? Screaming out for a caption isn't it.

"So it's just us left Dave. Me, you and Barry?"

    "No. There is another....."
