  1. Same my friend. I'll have a price in my head on certain pieces, but know intuitively I might be low balling on something drawn as well as this piece.
  2. Needle in a haystack? Even if willing they're too busy.
  3. I don't like it. The reason I bring up poor Jack Abel's inking over John Buscema all the time is that a seller listed a Marvel Fanfare page at the same going rate as a a JB/Adkins or JB/SalB page from the 60's-70's. This was 20 years ago, but come on. The disparity in asthetic should've placed the sellers ask on the lower rung of the sliding scale. I had a Marvel Fanfare Surfer page myself, I liked it for what it was, but so many uninformed collectors pay the comparable tax on an item that's not in the same league as the best work. I know the "art is subjective" bunch will weigh in but honestly, for your hard earned dollar, you should know the difference between what art you like vs. how much you should pay for it.
  4. It was amazing to watch. I'd refresh a page and more pieces were on hold. Must have been severe FOMO for people on the fence. I think the cover ask was $20k..... most interiors were $6-7k.
  5. You just need $$$ and you'll find just about anything for negotiation.
  6. I know someone who does that and I thought it was him posting this, until i saw it was Rick2you2
  7. I think it would be funny if someone has the cojones to out themselves on a piece they bought and immediately listed for a flip. I'd call a truce and offer immunity and I think LeeB would sanction that. If you have the receipts it would make it funnier. What made me think of this a memebr here about 4 years back bought a piece and instantly regretted it. He offered it lower to get rid of it. How about a piece you immediately disliked but were too stuborn to just get your money back so you put it up for sale but at a higher price out of anger (and perhaps a bit of hubris.) Or for example: You bought a page (bargain) at what you knew was a huge discount with lots of meat left and couldn't resist. Or whatever.
  8. Massively successful Tradd Moore art drop today under the care and direction of the great Felix Lu. I think by 9:30 am every page except the page 30 splash was on hold. I bet by the time I post this that crazy good splash goes on hold and Felix has another slam dunk sellout. If you haven't seen the Doctor Strange 2 pages yet, they are spectacular. Hurry. Page 30 still a chance!
  9. The word prelim doesn't seem fitting for drawings of this quality. The detail you see is exactly why these artists are so highly regarded.
  10. Excellent, quality prelims.
