it's a peculiar combination of really nice and a spine in distress. I'm inclined to want to give it a 5.0 and another part of me wants to give it a 6.0 for the other parts. It looks like it might be trimmed

Ok good to know, so how much of a difference?! I already know its shot
shot is relative. In amazing fantasy, people pay for sinlge pages and it would surprise you for hw much.
When I sold most of my collection, it was virtually all silver age with a few bronze. 12-15 cent comics, virtually all marvel. When I started, I made similar presumptuous statements as yours. I thought my AF 15 introducing Spiderman to maybe be worth 4-5K. It wound up graded at a 5.0 and sold for over ten times that. BUT, I was not in a hurry and waited a year watching and learning as you are doing now. Time well wasted. Value is based on demand. The stuff you have chucked out there doesn't have high demand. There are lots of copies like it. In terms of value, yes post .20cent books occasionally have value but not a bunch. Having them graded and slabbed wipes out most profit.
Watch different sites, high grade, mycomics, metropolitan comics etc. Watch Ebay but only for books that have been sold.
You are not the only person with what appear to be "Old" comics. Actually they are rather recent and that helps explain their condition. Somebody's mom was locked out of the room.

8.0-8.5 The two upper corners front and back are both a bit rough and on the back cover , something is going on in the lower left part of the comic in the "magic set" portion. It's really difficult to read a light colored comic on a white background. It masks a lot of stuff.. or maybe I need a better monitor.

Defiantly a 1.5, IMO I would have given it a 1.0
Defiantly? A 1.5 with attitude.

the water damage is substantive. So is the grease marking on the front. If there is no interior stain you could still see a 6.0 or better.
-
some tanning of the pages, The corners look pretty good really. So does the Spine. Insufficient detail on the cover being white essentially. Right now, I'm between 5.5 and 6.0.
Better pictures could change that. Press it.

4.0 Color breaks of black on white are tough to ignore.

even in the bag, the spine roll stands out and it appears there's some sort of color break by the punishers calf. Better pictures will give you feedback beyond that.

3.5- 4.0

Yes! The grade is 6.5. (How's that for a turnaround time?)
I'm pleased.
Could I get a regular monthly check for value based on the in depth critique against anticipated complete sales. I need to move to Monaco and have to show the lenders regular income to get the estate. I've had the five boxes for six months now and have grown impatient about return on the money I borrowed to make the buy. My children need answers.

If we have more than five long boxes to grade, do you have a discount feature which averages all of the books into one grade?

or would you like them averaged?
