I had one exactly like that with the tiny scuff on the back. It came back an 8.5. My clean one was a 9.4
-
rear cover takes it down 6.5
-
4.5 as it sits
-
As it sits, I see a 7.0 What's wrong I might ask?
-
I like the five dollar sticker
-
Actually very nice 6.0
-
I see a 3.0, perhaps 3.5 with clean and press.
-
-
based on the photos provided, I can't assess the grade.

3.0. My copy is a good deal nicer and I'm not slabbing it, but I don't plan to sell it either. Unless there's some compelling reason, I don't think slabbing is worth it if you don't plan to get rid of it. I've had my copy fifty years. It's on a board in a bag.

Somehow, it looks trimmed.

indeed. You don't want to go lower and you really don't want to go higher.

I would suggest checking other sites that sell raw books. There are quite few of them and many advertise in Overstreet. The bay is dangerous with the constant disclaimer, "I'm not a professional grader but I play one one ebay. This comic looks just super nice."
The observation to check the sold listings is spot on.

@Glassman10 noted: Tanning, spine stresses, and scuffed upper spine ... AND... I would add, top edge heavily stressed front and back covers, large (4-5”) color-breaking crease lower right FC, cover slightly pulled at both staples. Hope this helps...
That's the ten dollar version. I only provided the $4.50 cent version of graders sniping. Grading in the 6.0 range is actually rather difficult. I missed the color break. Good eye.

Silver surfer #4 as high a grade as you can find. It was a very low distribution issue.

in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?

precisely what occurred. The ink was a dot yellowish/ with red that was about 1/16th in diameter. A drop/ drip if you will and in my mind a production defect but nothing more.
