  1. Ditto. But as a confirmed printing error, the book is nigh on unique and in theory should be very desirable to certain collectors.
  2. That was my first thought but the total absence of red wording on the back cover, when compared to the other copy for sale, confirms the error. Didn't errors used to get qualified labels? Certainly seems more appropriate.
  3. Good man. I bet the difference is much more striking in the flesh.
  4. Your right I don't have that kind of cash, I can spend about 2K on a book, and I am sure this would be a good price for the buyer, then again he/she could say no. I have been collecting these Whitman's for awhile and trying to complete the set. I feel for you Bloomis as I know what it's like to need that one book to complete a set. I had a similar 'buy or leave' conundrum with the ASM 184 All Detergent. Unfortunately, when certain books take on near mythical status, and that catches on, anyone who finds one puts an eye watering price tag on it. You can't really blame them, as it's likely a collector with deep pockets will bite rather than wait. I waited, and that patience was rewarded in the end. Only you know what you're prepared to pay. If you're uncomfortable, leave it. Make an offer which you think is reasonable. You never know.
  5. Hello Shane. I cut the address into chrome and had a look. This happens when the inks are running low. Spectacular Spider-Man 160 is another good example. There are orange and red background covers out there. And they always look more striking in the flesh. I quite like them.
  6. You're better than that Kav. Titties for tatties and all. It's like that time I found a wallet-at first I was gonna keep it-then I thought, how would I feel if I lost my wallet? Then I realized I WOULD WANT TO BE TAUGHT A LESSON! So how would you feel if you did lose it, then someone posted it back to you all contents included? Like I didn't learn my LESSON. Sorry, I was having my dinner. What was we talking about again?

  9. Hello, There is a category here: Celebrate The Printing Errors It's difficult to tell from scans sometimes, especially with Chromium Covers which don't picture well, but it does look like the red ink is missing / erratic on this copy. I can't see another on Ebay so well done on the find
  10. Good thread Kav! I know you've raised it half in jest, but as the replies show, it is annoying when people don't leave feedback. Especially when you've given great service. I have always left feedback for every sale and every purchase but I accept that some won't. It probably doesn't mean they're bad people, just that they have different priorities in life. I used to think that ebay should leave auto positive feedback after a month or so if a buyer didn't bother. That would help improve the standings of sellers and seems fair. What do you think?
  11. No. and if you did..well PT Barnum said it best...... He did. Which minute were you born? Yesterday from the sounds of it.
