  1. I kind of like the show, but they shouldn't have gone with the whole no gravity in space thing because they do a really, really bad job of trying to pretend they are in a weightless environment much of the time. They should have just added some artificial gravity for their space ships. Then they wouldn't have to fake like they are weightless all the time, while only getting it maybe 60-70% right. If you watch every scene closely, you can constantly see little things affected by gravity that shouldn't be since they are in space.
  2. What about Nintendo cartridges with batteries inside them? Won't the battery eventually corrode and ruin the cartridge unless you tear open the shrink wrap, crack open the cartridge, and replace the battery?
  3. I'm curious what the usable life of an old NES/Atari cartridge is? Surely those old circuit boards corrode and decay over time. I'm guessing these things decay faster than a comic book. I wonder if any of these old cartridges from the 1970's and 1980's will still be usable in another 20-30 years. I guess it's not much of a risk for a game still in the shrink wrap, because you have no way of knowing if it actually works or not. But is this a serious risk for an opened game? Isn't it worth a lot less if it's not in working condition, and won't more and more of these old cartridges stop working as the years go by?

  5. Beware of extra return shipping charges. A few months ago I was submitting 25 comics to CGC, all in the same tier, and selected 1 of the comics to have the new Marvel label. When I went to checkout, my submission got separated into two submissions (24 comics with normal labels, and 1 comic with the Marvel label) along with two return shipping charges.
  6. if still available, at 10% off: Amazing Spider-man #31 7.0 ow/w $375
  7. Be organized. Prices on everything. I lot of times I will just walk away if the comics aren't priced, where I'm forced to ask the dealer what the price is. Don't put so many comics in the boxes that I can't safely browse through them without bending your books, or without pulling out 10 comics and placing them to the side first. Have a clean area. I may just walk on past if the boxes are so dirty that it looks like mold might be growing on them, or if they are wet because you let them get rained on while carrying them into the show (yes I have seen this before). Take a shower, use deodorant, and bring breath mints. Bad smells may drive away customers. Be willing to negotiate on price, especially on a bulk deal. If your prices are firm, 9 times out of 10 I will walk away out of general principle.

  14. Just got the grades from my second crossover batch. Note, I fully expected the PGX comic to go down in grade. However, it's still shocking to see how far off they were on the grade. Thor #133 PGX 9.2 OW/W -----> CGC 7.5 C/OW X-Men #62 CBCS 9.0 W -----> CGC 8.5 OW/W Strange Tales #178 CBCS 9.0 W ----> CGC 9.2 W Strange Tales #169 CBCS 9.0 OW/W ----> CGC 8.5 OW/W Eternals #1 CBCS 9.4 W ----> CGC 9.4 W Eternals #3 CBCS 9.6 W ----> CGC 9.6 W
