  1. Plustek OpticPro A320E I use for Comic, Magazine, Trading Card, slabs as well as non large Original Art. Most Important thing is to look for is CCD Optical tech and AVOID CIS
  2. BTW the dude could have simply removed the comments himself. All he had to do was crack open his wallet and upgrade his moocher level membership to premium level. $75 dollars and well worth it! Especially given all Bill Cox has done for the hobby the past 21 years
  3. Nice to see Ayers Fury gettin' the love
  4. While I genuinely hope I am wrong, but based on the actions already I'd expect the newb to do the most vile thing possible. All due to lack of knowledge on the newb's part and unwillingness to believe they were in effect defrauded directly or indirectly by the entity that they purchased it from.
  5. 2way Shipping expense+Grading fee+Invoice Fee+Tax will cost more than the book is worth even if it did get a 9.4 - My opinion is it's a 9.2 at best
  6. Yes - so refreshing to see an artist who was not ripped off by a dealer for fractions of a cent on the dollar.
  7. Recently stumbled across a podcast dedicated to mostly DC Digests: http://fireandwaterpodcast.com/show/digestcast/?pager=1
  8. I used to have OA interior pages from #25... :sigh:
  9. yet sadly still "better" than Fedex who ain't even subject to that type of audit. At least with USPS I do receive the parcels with Fedex more than half the time I do not - no kidding and no exaggeration.
  10. As I recall their parent company owns significant amount of Fedex stock
  11. It's not perfect, not by a long shot, but USPS registered in my decades of experiences is by far the safest option from ANY carrier.
  12. If you'd rather look at some dude's package in the skintight Surfer suit there's nothign wrong with that. However speaking for myself and bulk of the potential audience for the film I'd much rather stare at a shapely female form with potential cam3l t0e in the taut Silver. BTW's I'm positive Lee and Kirby would agree with me!
  13. Sullivan County I see... I've not been 'round those parts in 2 decades.
  14. That may very well be the coolest thing i've ever seen on these CGC Forums
  15. Anything he pencilled that was returned to an inker by his account was stolen. He may have even been correct from a metaphysical perspective ...?
  16. Make note folks; Fine for art but worthless for comic and card slabs.
  17. No matter how much my SP500 fund rises or drops, I'm not moving a cent of it into comics 😁 MCU no longer fueling the back issue fire as it did for near 15 years and burst from the bubble have caused drove after drove to leave hobby. Settle in folks, attrition in collectors and price dips and or stagnation will reign until at least decades end. P.S. Of course there will always be exceptions or outliers or hot book de jour, I'm talking about the 60-00s Marvel market as a whole. This post does apply to SA - please ignore that portion of my sig
  18. yep Along with other factors, given the current state of the MCU I do think there is room for many books to negatively breach 2019 and possibly even 2017 prices. Of course there will always be exceptions or outliers or hot book de jour, I'm talking about the 60's SA Marvel market as a whole. This post does apply to SA - please ignore that portion of my sig
  19. With pressing 9.2/9.4. Seeing a bunch of color breaking spine ticks/breaks that should preclude it from grading higher.
  20. Minor Color Rubs on back cover and an impediment to 9.8's for this book. I think the book is 9.2/9.4 - as mentioned the back cover on this issue is scrutinized heavily by CGC and I see at least 2 color breaking spine lines/ticks/break and possible color rub near top left of book. Question: with free-falling prices if 252 Direct Sale receives a grade lower than 9.6 is it really worth the time, money (especially if paying for pressing) and effort over keeping it raw?
