  1. . . . or three or four. But can you blame him?
  2. I'm pretty sure board member @Cat-Man_America has the Church Tec 18.
  3. Every once in a while I like to pick up a low-grade raw comic so that I can enjoy the interior art. I picked up this Jungle on MyComicShop tonight. It may not be a forever book, but I hope to enjoy it for two or three years. (Is that Barney in the background?)
  4. I knew that you had owned the Big Apple #39. I picked up the Lost Valley #33 on CLink way back in 2012; did you have it at one time? I think that you might have owned this one way back when, too:
  5. Looks good! #1 is extremely common, but it's tough to find with good cover colors. You made the right choice.
  6. Marvel Bunny to Marvel Junior; sailing vessel to flying vessel.
  7. Why is Jughead sniffing his finger above the title? Hot meat to cold meat.
  8. It's probably listed on eBay as a NM unrestored copy.
  9. Santa on the path to lung cancer to Veronica on the path to type-2 diabetes.
  10. I have a copy of that one myself! Even in 2.0 it has to be worth quite a bit more than some of the books on eBay. I'm so used to seeing dollar-bin books on eBay—slabbed and priced at $50, $100, and up—that I barely notice any more.
  11. Fight Japanese war cover to Fight Japanese war cover; 31 to 21.
  12. Iconic German war cover to iconic German/Japanese war cover.
  13. On eBay, I often see very low grade copies of comic books that would barely be collectible in high grade. I was wondering who is slabbing these books and why they're doing it.
  14. Iconic German war cover to iconic German war cover.
  15. I can't say that I would never upgrade, but I have little motivation to do so. I try not to buy anything I don't like, and if I'm happy with my copy, I'm happy with my copy. I do have a few books that I would upgrade if the right copy came along. Any time I think about spending a (for me) significant amount of money on an upgrade, I think about Boy Comics #17.
  16. Fedora off the head to fedora on the head . . . but probably not for long.
  17. Child running toward a vehicle to child being snatched away from a vehicle.
  18. I don't know that that's an unpopular opinion; many people would probably agree. The most talented guys—guys who could write and draw well—tended to land their own strips. I like Frank Godwin's strip Connie, but it's seldom mentioned here. (It was reprinted in Famous Funnies for a while). Others have mentioned Milton Caniff; you can't forget Chester Gould; the list goes on and on.
