  1. Here's one that just happens to be the only copy that CGC has decided to grade and encapsulate with the signature/qualified label because they don't really know what they are doing. Check out ebay sometime and search Wizard #11 sealed. You will find Newsstand examples and can clearly see the card in the poly bag.

  2. So... if anyone is paying attention.

The most recent census update for Wizard Magazine , has Wizard #7 with an addition of "Variant Cover" and a change of the cover artist to Bart Sears added to the art comments.

    This is also wrong.

    Listen carefully.

    Wizard #7... Barry Windsor-Smith cover

Wizard #7 Newsstand Edition... Bart Sears cover.

This is not hard. I don't get it.

  3. CGCs way of dealing with it makes it   pointless anyway. Far as I can tell , New newsstand edition books that they have decided to recognize as (Newsstand Edition) are classified as such in the Pedigree category , not actually creating a slot for them in the census. No count.

Apparently , if you want to add one of these books to a registry set , they will create a slot for it there , but there will be no official count in the census unless of course you have one of those nuggets they've decided is worthy.

  4. Dropped off two books at the show in Baltimore on 10/29/22 and received them at home 1/5/23 and then promptly shipped out three more on 1/5. Hope to get them back soon but to be honest, that isn't my main concern.

Quality control is a wonderful thing but nobody is perfect. How about taking the customers word for the information that he/she may put on the invoice, about the item that he/she may own. What I'm trying to say is... what happened to " The customer is always right "?

I know that the customer is not always right but when I say a book is a variant or a newsstand edition, then that's what it is.

  5. One of these #7 Wizard Magazines is a Newsstand Edition with Bart Sears cover art and the other has Barry Windsor-Smith cover art. Can you guess which is which?

Should there be a slot for it?

The Wizard #1 Newsstand Edition commands a significantly higher price than even the SDCC Edition and I'm not certain but I believe that I've got the only copy graded with the designation on the label.

  6. Please add to the Wizard Magazine set

    Wizard #1 Newsstand Edition

    cert # 2767915001

    Wizard #89

    cert # 2767915002

Also , if you could please add the

Wizard #89 to the Jim Lee Cover Set

    TYVM

    Slots added per request 1/12/23

    Note:

Wizard #1 does not have a Variant in the Census for the Newsstand Edition.  I have added a Newsstand slot in the set, and populated it with #1

Also, Wizard 89 does not distinguish between the different cover artists.  I populated it with #89.

    Thanks!
