  1. Not sure how many folks were interested in/followed this auction given its specific focus, but it did have a few interesting lots of OA and I was wondering about people's thoughts on the OA and prices? Wrightson Batman The Cult page went for $10.2K. I felt that was a strong price for a page from this title Bolland Killing Joke Prelim p28 = $5.4K. I think this went cheap given what a published Killing Joke page would sell for these days. Bolland Killing Joke p33 prelim = $5K. I like this one more than p28. Again, given what a published Killing Joke page goes for, this seemed cheap. Templeton Batman and Robin Adventures Annual #1 cover = $4.6K. Definitely the most I've ever seen a Templeton cover sell for, and I've owned over a dozen of them back when I was collecting the 'cartoony' Batman stuff. Bob Kane Joker sketch = $3.1K. This is a tiny sketch (3x3.5 inches) with a big price tag!
  2. Hi, all: It's been a while since I posted this WTB notice so with the year winding down, I thought I would try again. I'm looking for early Hobgoblin covers specifically from ASM and I will pay a finder's fee of $5K for information leading to the purchase of a cover. Here are the covers I'm most interested in. Please DM me to discuss
  3. Hi all just a quick reminder these great artworks are ending tonight, beginning at approximately 7PM Eastern time. good luck to all bidders!

  6. 1. Heritage 2. Ebay 3. Clink 4. ComicConnect 5. Hake's (who?)
  7. Sounds crazy, I know. Let’s see what happens when it sells in Jan
  8. The Bolland Animal Man #1 cover image has been uploaded now
  9. Difficult to say. The other piece had an asking price of $15, which he sold at HeroesCon. I don’t know if he got his full asking price for it, but presumably it did sell in excess of $10K. The piece that sold on Clink for $8.7K is the nicer of the two, IMHO
  10. I never got his name. He is a comic book dealer and had a few OA pieces for sale. He had this piece, and another Byrne She Hulk splash featuring the Thing at HeroesCon...he sold the other piece at the show.
  11. This Byrne She Hulk splash featuring the Thing had an asking price of $20K at HeroesCon and Baltimore. sold on clink for $8.7K last nite
  12. I don’t think it underperformed at all. It ended exactly where it should.
  13. Not sure if people are starting to list primo stuff in the Jan auction due to fears about the economy or some other reason, but as great as the OA listings are for this auction, those still into comic books (I still dabble here and there) are amazed by the offerings and will be watching very closely for records to be set: ASM #1 CGC 9.8 white pages (curator copy) Showcase #4 CGC 9.6 white pages (Richard, did you own this book previously?) Showcase #4 CGC 8.0 Hulk 1 CGC 9.2 white pages Superman 1 CGC 7.0 All Star Comics #8 CGC 8 CGC 9.4 (1st Wonder Woman) Batman #1 CGC 7.0 B&B #28 CGC 9.6 white pages (1st Justice League) ASM #9 cgc 9.8 (1st Electro) Avengers #4 cgc 9.8 (1st Silver Age Captain America) Silver Surfer #1 cgc 9.8 (Boston Pedigree) FF #48 CGC 9.8 (1st Surfer and Galactus) HOS #92 CGC 9.8 (1st swamp thing) Captain America #100 CGC 9.9 White pages Hulk 181 CGC 9.8 etc
