  1. It was to sell another toy. Spidey action figure fits in the Spidey-mobile, as advertised in the comic books of the time.
  2. Tom Raney X-Men page featuring 1st Lilandra
  3. Yes, clink terms are 30 days for settlement, whereas HA’s are 45 days
  4. I hear you…I was just using the JLA 195 cover as a comp. it sold last year for $288K
  5. Hiya folks: I've consigned some more great art for sale with Heritage. All items end Wednesday, Nov 22nd and feature main character(s). Here's a brief summary of the pages, along with a direct link to the page at auction John Romita Jr. and Scott Hanna Amazing Spider-Man V2#36 Sketch Cover - Signature Series Original Art (Marvel, 2001) CGC NM+ 9.6 White pages. This copy of the issue also known as Amazing Spider-Man #477 has a lovely illustrated tribute to the Twin Towers by Scott Hanna on the solid black cover alongside a portrait of Spidey by John Romita Jr. September 11th/World Trade Center story. The image of Spidey is much larger than the usual sketch image JR Jr illustrated and there are very, very few sketch covers of this issue that grade higher. Here's the link: John Romita Jr. and Scott Hanna Amazing Spider-Man V2#36 Sketch | Lot #49210 | Heritage Auctions Tom Raney and Scott Hanna Ultimate X-Men #67 Story Page 22 Original Art (Marvel, 2006). Gorgeous 2/3 splash where Professor Xavier's date with the mysterious Lilandra takes an unexpected turn after the Majestrix of the Church of Shi'ar Enlightenment reveals that her organization worships the Phoenix - something the Professor has only just become familiar with thanks to the expanding powers of his star pupil, Jean Grey! Nate Grey the X-Man battles against a Dire Wraith on this story page from an issue that saw the hero from the Age of Apocalypse helping a young boy escape a violent situation. Machiko Noguchi infiltrates a Predator base by wearing their armor and uses their weapons against them. Absolutely killer final panel worthy of bragging rights. 6. Nah, it would have connected with more collectors if it was drawn by Forbush Man instead of Don Heck
  7. I think we're all used to seeing a run-up in prices a few days before live bidding on an HA Signature Auction, but with only one day to go, bids have barely budged over the past 5 days. Perhaps, just perhaps, this may be the time to strike and go for something that may normally be outside of your comfort zone. Who knows, you might end up with an awesome grail piece.
  8. Sandman finished its original run in 1996; Preacher in 2000. wouldn’t exactly classify them as ‘new material’
  9. I would add cleanliness to the list or at least an attempt to vacuum/mop the floors once a month, perhaps dust some bookshelves and countertops now and then?
  10. I've been amazed at the incredible composition and dynamic linework of Raymond's Flash Gordon for a few decades now, but narrowing down prices has been elusive for me. Sometimes I think a piece will sell within my budget (it doesn't) and other times, I don't even bother to bid because i think the piece is so wonderful that it will surely sell for multiples of what I would be willing to pay...missed out on three wonderful pages by this way of thinking. Long story short, there's a very nice example in the Nov HA auction (at least I think so), and I would love to hear from knowledgeable collectors for Raymond's Flash Gordon OA...what is the expected price range for this piece. Please DM me with your response
  11. Not just that, Mike, but why are pieces in the upcoming Clink Nov auction appearing in CAL searches (search by title or artist)???
  12. Agree with Michael. To call the pricing aspirational shows great restraint. I did see some nice commissions/sketches priced fairly under $1K, but a lot of them are already sold so congrats to the buyers/sellers on those items 👍🏻
  13. The sales of $12K and $3K are original art pieces. the much lower sales prices are for portfolios such as yours
  14. HIya, folks: Got some more OA on consignment with Heritage, with all auctions ending Wednesday Nov 8th. Jim Hall and Ricardo Villagran Aliens vs. Predator: War #3 Story Page 8 Original Art (Dark Horse, 1995). Killer page...literally! Humans scramble to prepare defenses, but run out of a time when a stealth Predator appears. Here's the link to the page at auction: Jim Hall and Ricardo Villagran Aliens vs. Predator: War #3 Story | Lot #47076 | Heritage Auctions Tom Raney and Scott Hanna Ultimate X-Men #74 Story Page 22 Original Art (Marvel, 2006). Professor X reads the mysterious Lilandra Numara's mind and discovers the Majestrix of the Church of Shi'ar Enlightenment is interested in more than just Jean Grey's burgeoning Phoenix powers. Nice 2/3 splash page featuring the alluring Lilandra. Link: Tom Raney and Scott Hanna Ultimate X-Men #74 Story Page 22 Original | Lot #47193 | Heritage Auctions Luke Ross and Rick Magyar Captain America #49 Story Page 15 Original Art (Marvel, 2009). Sharon Carter is hot! and here spends some time with her old friend Dave Cox. Link: Luke Ross and Rick Magyar Captain America #49 Story Page 15 | Lot #47196 | Heritage Auctions (ha.com) Billy Tan and Danny Miki Uncanny X-Men #492 "Messiah CompleX" Story Page 22 Original Art (Marvel, 2005). "I still feel like there's something big I'm missing here...some wild card we haven't even considered." X-Men leader Cyclops' bad feeling is warranted, as unbeknownst to the mighty mutant team, the vicious Predator X has picked up the scent of the newly born mutant messiah, setting the creature on a collision course with the X-Men, Marauders, and Purifiers, all of whom are seeking the young savior for their disparate purposes. This final cliffhanger page from the second chapter in the fan-favorite "Messiah CompleX" crossover event. 15. Thanks, Richard Would love to see more photos, especially of the floor plan to get an idea of the size/scope of the Dealer's area.
