  1. Give it the Donnelly‘S and you’ll soon see as many “snikt’s” as you want 😂
  2. I was wondering when somebody was going to mention McFarlane 👍🏻
  3. My top 5 in no particular order: eisner keown Garcia Lopez Williamson Miller Runner up: Ditko
  4. I wholeheartedly agree with you. We just need to inform the folks on ebay and Clink Exchange who are asking $50K+ for their non-descript copies.
  5. Wolverine vs Major Maple Leaf? Yes Claws out in multiple panels? Yes A-level page? Yes Price estimate? easily eclipsing $50K
  6. Thanks for the prior HA results. Interesting to note that this piece decreased in value by ~20% during the 5-year period from May 2014-2019. Additionally, I'm not so sure that it is a great pick-up. I took a look at larger images of the OA in HA's archives, and I personally don't like all of the marker fading that was evident in the 2014 image, and to a lesser extent in the 2019 image (they darkened the hues on the image to reduce the amount of marker fading). However, if the extent of marker fading on this piece doesn't bother folks as much as it bothers me, then maybe it was an 'OK' price for this piece?
  7. Hi, all; Just a quick reminder that the auction for these pages ends tonight. Thus far, everything is less than $100 so here's another great opportunity to pick up some truly affordable art. Good luck to all bidders!
  8. I am really, really, really trying not to be pessimistic about the offerings/pricing/purchases from the 'Dealmakers of Comic Art’ claim show, but taking a critical perspective of the past four? shows, how many claims were made by people whose name is not Nick Barrucci or Mike Lovitz? Perhaps a half dozen?

  11. So, the one that sold for $40K on HA is from the Oregon Coast Collection with perfect centering and white pages. anything else you’d like to add?
  12. I had a rather extensive discussion 6 years ago with one of the folks from Clink as to why they don't keep their sales info public, and the response that I received was so, um, 'non-sensical' to me (and I'm being very kind here) that I was left flabbergasted. As for 'most people' having better results for comic sales via CLINK, I will say this: For many years, I sold cgc books and OA via clink and HA. On numerous (dozens) of occasions, the books were the same grade, same PQ. and I used to track the results to determine where I was getting the best results, even taking all fees into account. During the first few years, it was too close to call, but over time, HA became the prevailing winner for me, 7 out of 10 times. For OA, it wasn't even close...HA had the best results by a landslide. As a result, I stopped consigning with Clink and went all-in with HA. Having said the aforementioned, both auction houses generate crazy prices and bargains in each auction.
  13. GPA doesn't include Clink sales because Clink does not want them included.
  14. My sales were a bit soft, but an improvement from last week.
