You need bring a CGC witness with you and have him go undercover :)  Think outside the box.

And even then, it's basically IMPOSSIBLE to get him to sign a D.C. book.

Hes stated before that he'll never sign another copy of Killing Joke... so it's pretty much not something you should hold your breath for.

    Not attacking you or trolling.

    Just making a professional criticism.

You choosing not to update your advertisements was done out of laziness.  No excuses, your ad said five and no changes for 2017.

Lastly, are your guys and signs updated and now telling collectors that they can go back in line to get more signature or only telling them that they have to pay the $5 fee for more signatures?

Instead of being professional and making an apology to collectors, you turned this into a "he's attacking and trolling me" argument.

Professionals make an attempt to deal with any issues they may have in private, before attempting to "put someone on blast" publicly.  The fact that you missed the sign is forgivable, but who's fault is that really?  You inability to realize that you could jump back in line is rather novice.  You unwillingness to do so or even ask is equally as "lazy"... and they fact that you would attempt to make a political case over having to pay for a few signatures is remarkable.

I hope you can learn to communicate better (less trollish) going forward and that you can learn how to better navigate conventions, etc.  Good luck!

  3. There are currently 8 copies for sale on eBay alone.  And there are over a dozen sold in the last 90 days.
    It's NOT a rare book.
Anyone who assumes that just because she's only done the "one signing" that she's never going to do a signing again is kidding themselves.
If you can get a copy for $500-550 then you're probably going to lose a little money in the long run.  I think the sweet spot for this book is around $350-435 long term.
Here is the GPA data so far:

  4. People were selling sig ops for that first ticketed signing he did for $750-800 a piece!  And they all sold.

Some celebs are that expensive. Dailey Ridley was $350, Samuel L Jackson is $500.  It gets up there sometimes.

  5. 1) Go to the booth FIRST thing and get a blank copy of the Sig Series form.  Just tell them you want to fill it all out before requesting a witness for the first round of drop offs.

    2) Ask if they will have a witness stationed at the particular creators booth (if he/she is a "big name" they might).

    3) Verify how they want you to deal with the one book that you are having signed by 3 people.

    4) Ask them what your options are for the book that is already signed.  To my knowledge you can have it two different ways:

        a)  Sig Series Verified (Yellow w/Green Stripe) - Book grading will NOT be affected by the un-witnessed signature and the label will read "Signed by [verified name] on XX/XX/XXXX and "name written on cover" (unwitnessed).
        b) Sig Series (Yellow Label) - The grade of the book will be effected due to the writing on the cover (un-witnessed signature) and the label will be the same as or very similar to what I wrote above.

Note:  If you fill out your invoice and one of the creators isn't able to sign your book, you can always scratch their name out on the "Signed by:" line.  I recommend doing this and NOT doing the "invoice cost" math at the bottom left of the form.  Let them calculate what you owe and will that section out at the booth prior to payment.  Also, DO NOT fill out the payment method ahead of time.  I lost a form once and had to cancel a credit card AT THE CON because I couldn't be sure if my CC info was in the wrong hands.  Because I canceled the card at the con I didn't have access to my ATM and wasn't able to use my card for any purchases the rest of the show.  I was borrowing money from my friends to cover signature fees and exclusives the whole time!!!  Ugh.

Bree, aren't most movie posters larger in height and width than treasury size comics? Do the poster slabs have much shallower wells? Just trying to understand why those cannot be used for large-format comics such as treasury and larger.

It's my understanding that the concert posters come in the large sheets with a label on top and portfolio holes on the side, BUT NO OUTER SHELL.  Much in the same way that CGC encapsulates single sheet OA on 10x12 paper.  I'm searching for a picture of a skottie Young sketch from a convention last year that my friend bought... I'll post when I find it.  You'll see there is NO hard outer shell.

I believe depending on the interest of a book will dictate how many of that certain book he gets. So because he lists 10 avail and only 3-4 people claim one does not mean there are 6 available. Rich may only buy 5 to cover all his 9.8 guarantees.

You may have better luck messaging him directly if you're interested in a book from an older month presale thread.

    ^ ^ this.

Most of his items are pre-sales.  So if he only gets 4 orders he only buys 4 copies (or so). Definitely PM him. And if a book spikes in value after his presage, don't expect the price to stay the same or for extra copies to be available.

Wow - pretty pricey at this point. Starting to think CGC wants to cap their volumes - 65 bucks plus all the shipping and insurance for me to get a silver age book graded not sure I'm going to rush my next stack off that fast.

If a $2-5 per book increase is so painful, you might want to rethink some of your life choices.

I wouldn't expect one until at least tonight or possibly even later. Remember he is at the show today getting all of this stuff done.

I was asking for the group. I know Rich is busy. Just thought with the rush of people requesting Redneck and then Wamh0416's post about being "sold out" that the people who didn't make it in before the cut off should know ASAP.  No biggie. I know he's doing everything he can. From the reports I've been getting it's been a bit of a nightmare of a show. No cell recption, wifi, and overcrowding problems. Let's hope the rumors are false.
