  1. proves Disney purchased a property that will make money. To quote Mark Hamill: "remember kids, it doesn't matter if your movie is good only that it makes money."
  2. Re Holdo: One thing about her sacrifice that still makes no sense to me is why is her sacrifice not earlier? Why does it have to wait until so many Rebel ships and forces have died? If that was her plan that she couldn't tell Poe ( I can understand not wanting to tell him that information ) why couldn't her maneuver have saved a lot more Rebel lives?
  3. Maybe Disney will get this guy to write the next film as with these small tweaks to the story he crafts a far better story that makes more sense:
  4. Happy for you. The positive for me is I have a whole bunch of 9.8's.
  5. I also struggle trying to say positive things. I still cant think of them.
  6. Rey Finn and Poe are very uninteresting characters to me.
  7. not unlike another leader type from another STAR franchise.
  8. I give the actor some respect for doing what he needed to do to shed the "emo" label he was given after the Force Awakens.
  9. this movie sure has initiated some interesting discussion. If you liked the film I am happy for you. I thought it was terrible and very little of what happens makes any sense to me. I am unlikely to go see Episode 9 based on this film.
  10. I am very disappointed in Disney. I loved Episodes 4,5 and 6. I hated the prequels and then Disney spends 4 Billion dollars to acquire Star Wars. Their first attempt just was so disappointing: The Force Awakens was very simply a remake. The exact same story as A New Hope just changing the names. The friend I went with to see the film fell asleep! Just a terrible effort. One thing The Force Awakens did was setup new characters and (hopefully) new storylines. The Last Jedi has very literally destroyed everything that was done before it. Another awful effort/ movie. It is my opinion that if Disney wanted to do something new and completely original then they should have just made that movie. They did not need to destroy everything that came before it....unless they just wanted to excrete all over Star Wars? Was there ever something that happened between Disney/ Lucas that would make Disney want to destroy it all?
  11. I feel sorry for all of those long forgotten comics that should be in a happy home loved by an owner.
  12. Conan is another title I love. I have them all as well as all the magazines ( Savage Sword, Savage Tales, Conan Saga, other one offs, Movie Specials, marvel Super Specials, etc. )and all of the Dark Horse books. When reading I can say Conan never lets me down.
  13. The pages start to discolor, and you think it is tanning/ foxing. Hehehehe
  14. I would complete Planet Comics. Which I have already done. Before that I did Hulk: 1-6, TTA 59-101, 102-474, Volume 2, Vol 3, appearances, etc. The thing I learned about myself when I returned to comic collecting in 2004 is I enjoy the chase more than owning. I found Hulk to be too easy to attain especially with the internet. I decided to go for Planet Comics for the challenge, and overall I love the covers. The next goal? I have yet to decide....
  15. Mine in no particular order: Planet Comics original art page from the Berk auction Planet Comics 5 Vampirella #1 with the surprise interior signature
  16. This one comes to mind. Bought a complete run of Sandman off Ebay that was advertised as NM+. The books arrived some bagged and boarded, most just bagged and then packed with packing peanuts. The books could move around and the packing peanuts got crushed and broken so there was tons of little pieces of foam all over the place and all static clingy. Little bits of foam inside the comic bags that were not taped shut.
  17. That is asking for something that they have yet to deliver.
  18. My "favorite" part of the Redroomruckus was the fight that Rey and Ren had with the red masked faceless dudes. The greatest challenge either of them had in the entire movie! They were just like red shirt guys in that other Star franchise.
  19. Ok, so the child of Han and Leia was born the way he is: attuned to the dark side.
  20. An interesting question. And for the record that story would be interesting to watch. The Last Jedi is trying to make me believe Luke created "Hitler". No way.
  21. If you had better writers creating the story you wouldn't be put in that situation at all. I sure would like to know what influenced Kylo Ren to go towards the dark side. Anakin had many things that were dark and negative influence his decisions. The emperor himself orchestrating /guiding him along to become a Sith. Leia and Han did something that influenced Kylo to become evil? Interesting theory but I don't buy it. So it was Luke that created Kylo? Really? That isn't the actions of a Jedi. It just doesn't make any sense. Perhaps that story is to come, but for now it has been very poorly explained because there is no way Han, Leia and Luke would create the next Darth Vader.
  22. Fair enough. I have nothing to complain about regarding Yoda. He was an interesting colorful character and became Luke's mentor. He has always been that character, and they did Yoda well in the Last Jedi Luke in The Last Jedi isn't the character from the first trilogy. Mark Hamill himself says this. All I am saying is if Disney held true to the characters of the original trilogy and wrote a far better story they would have a massive hit. They are trying to make films that pass the Star Wars "torch" and I don't have any issue with doing that as it is needed based on the aging people but they are destroying the past to do so. My opinion is that is a mistake. To quote Luke Skywalker: "I will never turn to the dark side. I am a Jedi, like my Father before me." What a wonderful film it could have been to start there and show us that Luke. Instead he is so conflicted now that he is going to murder a sleeping boy? Isn't that the dark side?
