  1. I've seen that before where they removed the classic cover notation. Strikes me odd. Like how did that happen? That wasn't a direct question of course. I think Marvel Mysteries 12 for example use to say classic cover and now it doesn't. SMC is really not an expensive book compared to lots of other Star L.B.'s. Maybe it's the boring white shirt . But Vaultkeepers 8.5, that's up there. I like Jayman's 6.5 a lot. Perfect wrap. Apparently the old photo bucket pics don't show up when you quote them.
  2. 15 to 18k for a blue 3.5 , sure that would be expected these days. "Upon closer inspection" here are the notes: Grader Notes chip out right bottom of front cover readers crease tear left bottom of front cover large crease right top of front cover breaks color small amount of color touch on full right & full left front cover small amount of glue on bottom spine So they are saying the entire left and right sides of the book have color touch? If so it seems like a large area to call it slight resto. And looking at the book it looks to me that most of the visible wear is on the left and right edges of the book , other than the corner chips. . A truly baffling mystery.
  3. Yep, I've paid lots for lots of books. At least for books that hardly ever hit the scene. But this is bordeline reckless bidding, no offense to the new owner. The seller seller probably would have been stoked if they took home 5k. I'm thinking maybe it's going to have a little restoration removal in it's future.
  4. Me too And I've been thumbing through this thread page by page from page 1. Great stuff. Edit: I notice yours says Classic Cover and mine does not. That totally bums me out
  5. I just saw the result. Jiminy Crickets. About twice as much as I would have guessed. A 4.5 A-3 sold for 4,560 a year ago. I see it's only a small amount of color touch but 15,600 is even a little high for a blue 3.5 I would have thought.
  6. That's good to hear. And now that cgc is grading pulps a lot both graded and ungraded are being offered all over. The fun never ends even after 50 years.
  7. Steve! Thanks for bringing you're friend along for Sally, but that tie. You're right Ronnie. It's just... just awful. . BECAUSE I HATED HIS TIE!
  8. Green Lantern issue 76. CGC 8.0 White. Pretty nice 8.0. The scans have some glare on them, mainly on the top and bottom edge of the book, depending on the angle of the scan. 675.00

  10. I never read the captions of that cover befor now. Pretty funny. I recognize Ronny and Errol Flynn, the 3rd guy I think is Peter Lawford. Blonde on left I think is Lana Turner. Other two not sure.
  11. That was my original plan but I couldn't handle the responsibilty. There are probably at least 20 shirts/suits worth listing.
  12. That's what I'm talking about. So much more clothing to discuss. She came for the ring, but she's stays for the tie. Great idea actually. A clothing store called L.B. Cole's. Specializing in loud, flamboyant apparel with bright and unusual color combinations for men........ and women.
