  1. Hi. This topic has got me thinking now, and a little worried. When I get a CGC comic I wipe it with a super soft cloth I have. Then I scan it in my over sized scanner. Then I put it in a 1.6 mm re-sealable mylar. I store my CGC's in heavy CGC boxes designed for their comics. They even say CGC on them. But they are upright in the box. Is that actually not good? Can gravity actually hurt the comic even though it is inside the inner plastic inside the slab?
  2. I just read it and came here. Good to see how appreciated she was.
  3. current bids 6100 and 6200 look like definite shill bids. the 4 and 38 feedback bidders. The 38 feedback guy is the one bidding all his 181 up and up. Bidder 159 feedback looks suspicious there also.
  4. I think its a combination of several things eg: The comic was a little undervalued a few months back (opinion) - A few bidding wars that went real high (if they actually were legit) - some shenanigans from a few sellers (assumption but seems to be the case) - And a current legitimate buying frenzy by those who think it will keep going up. .......The Cream 9.0 at 6,350 right now looks like a legit bidding war by people who aren't familiar with auction tactics, but if it does get re-listed after its over then the seller if definitely playing games. Just my humble opinion
  5. I've been watching all the 181 ebuy sales and there is some definite shenanigans going on with that seller. For one low feedback winners and runner ups who seemingly don't pay after bidding it up then its back up in a couple of days. The 9.0 cream already over 6K looks legit as far as I can tell. Lots of bidders for a Cream Bronze. PS It was my 8.0 that sold for 3900 on Sunday. That is what an honest auction gets.
  6. Thats looks real nice for a 7.0 I bought this raw for 300 and submitted it about 3 years ago. I was happy. One day I'll upgrade my 94 to match my GS
  7. I'm glad I waited for you to say it. I could never have stated it so L O Kwent Lee. I feel the grade date is the grade date regardless of how many times it was re-slabbed. thanks all.
  8. Hi, I just spoke to CGC about an issue. The rep told me that when a book gets a re-holder that the date of the re-holdering now becomes the new Graded Date. I questioned him a few times but he still said yes. Anybody know if this is true? This means if a book graded in 1995 gets a new slab in 2018, then it is considered graded in 2018. If this is so I believe it is wrong, the original date graded is what should remain in the verification notes. Any thoughts, verification about this? thanks
  9. Got mine about a year ago along with a 30 cent Spotlight 28 9.4
  10. Yeah I was following that one. Why the sudden boom with this? Mass Hysteria or am I missing something?
