i bought this book about 3 years ago. im sending it in to get signed BUT im not sure it will stay a 8.5 assuming nothing happens while getting signed. he browning edges and bottom worry me since i dont know if that was there when originally graded in 2013. what do you all think? the original grader notes are as follows: Left Top Back Cover Small Crease Staple Multiple Added During Manufacturing

im sending a book off to get signed which is already cgc graded. first time ever hence my question. does cgc regrade after a book is signed or do they just create a new label?

the new civics are very nice. either the SI, coup or the sedan. i bought a 2020 honda accord sport 1.5L in december and getting just shy of 30 miles a gallon without using the econ mode and not doing 90 on the interstate.

he is hit or miss for me but definitely one to look out for. debating getting that silk combo going on sale tomorrow.

Two thoughts, 1. The USA government is owned by big corporations. I wonder if ebay will exert any muscle to make sure this bill is squashed as it would sevearly impact their business. 2. Assuming it passes how much more information would ebay need to send sellers a tax form? Anyone want to give ebay your social security number? Or other personal identifying info?

i asked the owner if all the people that signed up early-ish had received a first print as they should have when i picked up my book. he reported they all had and i was happy for them as well as myself. he did mention had they been shorted to such a degree he would have to limit the first prints. the people that signed up a year ago when BI was first announced would get priority, people that signed closer to foc, not so much. he made it known he was not happy with the performance of BI and distribution. readers are people that sign up for digital comics and trade wait. they dont even care about first prints. a long time collector and comic book enthusiast wants first print. and in this specific case collectors deserve first print since they signed up before the johnny-come-lately not some second-forever-print.

i saw your post about dc/marvel boom minimum numbers after i posted my story. do you happen to know what dynamite's minimums are? there is a szerdy dejah thoris #1 cover that was advertised at only 500 printed. i dont believe that but still bought it anyway cause i like his work.

i understand now where you were coming from by suggesting market manipulation and ill will. i dont think it was intentional but my god their decision making was terrible and i hope its not a feature instead of a bug.

i know i got snippy in the beginning of the thread but i wasnt aware of the short which was reported by bleeding cool on feb 4th. i dont pay attention to comic news sites so i was not up to date on the news cycle. i just became aware of it and well, see my post above. i want to apologize to you and @awakeintheashes since i was arguing from a ignorant position. i wont attribute to malice what can be explained, in this case, by what i see as incompetence.

if a publishers sticks to it's numbers that are lower than what is ordered by exclusive retailers at the time of printing, that is incompetence. thats not being unable to meet EXPECTED demand, they are not even meeting the demand of their customers which they have or should have known for the past year how many to print to satisfy KNOWN demand. what was the point of a FOC? no spin will make up for that failure. they could have said they were going to delay to print more, or lied and said they were having trouble finding a printer. i doubt many would have cared at that point. id hate to be that lcs owner that has decide what 51% of their hold list customers will get their copy and who wont because of, well bad incompetence. great look out of the gate. also, is the not-first-print a real second print or just part of their quirky marketing and really a first print? i guess the market will decide that since they are clearly two different colored covers and the explanation by Dinesh is a convoluted mess. they can have their weird quarky distribution, marketing ect ect ill defend them on this but now that i found this article im kinda pissed. im pissed for the lcs' im pissed for the fans that are probably going to get shafted meanwhile flippers are selling copies on ebay. its not whining its legit criticism.

well you know what happens when you assume? and yes i got all that and understand it but how am i supposed to take Dinesh saying on feb 4, sorry we can only fulfill half the orders to our exclusive retailers and oh you can have a second print to cover our incompetence. maybe we'll get it right next time. they should have had a damn good idea how many first prints to print that should have prevented this. how is it Brian Pulido, Dan Mendoza, Ron Zabala and Timothy Lim can get their book numbers printed but Dinesh and company cant?

my biggest complaint with this is that Dinesh came out and said only half the orders would be filled for all the stores. they knew how many to print, its been almost a year since they launched this process. Thats not a bad idea, thats a level of incompetence that not even kickstarter projects fail at.

i saw a discussion in a fb comics group over year and half ago alleging some of the more reputable exclusive cover producers were lying about their print run to falsify the rarity of the books thereby increasing the value of the hold back. the person was telling everyone that if they see covers stated at less than 5-6K it was a lie because that is what DC (in the discussion) requires to make them to print. he had conversations saved and was a part of the scam and was getting shafted on money so he was blowing it up in public. he was subsequently banned, rumors were passed around he was a pedo and the conversation was never allowed again. just some food for thought.

you obviously dont know the meaning of market manipulation or white knight. i just provided a different point of view which you obviously are not interested in. there were plenty of stores that could have been contacted that you could have ordered from, stop your crying. you knew months in advance had you been paying attention how this was going to work. sorry not sorry they couldnt deliver it the way you are accustomed to. work harder next time.
