  1. For those who had the chance to attend the show, what was your impression overall of the dealer's pricing? I collect mainly mid to high grade (8.0 to 9.2) 60's and 70's books (specifically Marvel, DC and Archies) and usually end up buying most of my stuff off of ebay, where I'm usually able to get lower prices than I see from other dealers that set up at the bigger shows (SDCC, Wondercon, LA Comic Con, ect...) I'm just wondering if I should plan out a trip from Los Angeles for the next show. If the pricing and selection is comparable to ebay, I'll have to make some time. LOL
  2. It's ironic that DC Comic's headquarters is in Burbank, but the Burbank Walmart doesn't even carry these books. Has anyone seen any Walmarts in Southern California that are carrying these? I tried Burbank, Cerritos, and even Honolulu when on vacation, but no luck.
  3. Hi everyone! I just won this Bruce Timm piece on Comiclink tonight. It's my first color piece, though I have quite a few penciled and inked artworks by Bruce already in my collection. I know that this cover was done in tonal markers over what I assume is a xerox of the original inked work. My question is, could anyone explain to me Bruce's usual process for his color work? For example, with the $1800 color pieces that he does for Albert every year for Comic Con, is he coloring over original pencil and ink (ie: 100% original work)? It's a bit confusing for me because I've always seen Albert selling the black and white inked versions along with the color ones and they look so similar that I've always just assumed that Bruce is just light boxing when working on the color piece. But I wonder if he just might be doing the same thing he did for this Tesla Strong cover, which is to color over a xerox or stat copy?
  4. Thanks for posting about this MedicAR. Pretty much the same thing happened to me today after a Comicbase update. I was going crazy trying to figure out what was going on. All of my custom titles were deleted by the update, but luckily I had a backup from about a month ago which I was able to download from the Comicbase cloud. Now I'm waiting on CB support to try and help me merge both databases together. That should be simple, but it also appears the new update also corrupted some of the info in my current database - deleting whole runs of issues from non custom titles. Really frustrating. So as I was typing this, I just figured out how to solve my problem (sorta). I guess I should merge the new updated database with my older backup which should add the new issues I've added in the last 6 weeks since my last backup. Except some of the corrupted data from the new database will still mean that I have to backtrack on the books I entered recently and try to find which ones were deleted. If you came up with any solutions to this problem let me know.

  6. Sorry if this is not the right place to post this, but I was wondering if anyone is having problems using the gavelsnipe sniper program on ebay? The whole site seems to have been down for me for the last two days. Just wondering if its a problem on my end or if it's gavelsnipe's issue. Thanks.
  7. Have you ever tried stacking these? Just wondering how much weight they might safely support. As far as pricing goes, are these really only $1.50 each? That's pretty good - how much is shipping? Just wondering what the average price per box would work out to. I'm paying around $4.00 each for my ugly long boxes now.
