  5. SEP062126 NEW AVENGERS #26 $2.99 OCT062126 ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN #103 $2.99 It's times like this I'm glad I only get my books once a month now.
  6. Awesome. Thanks for showing that, makes me feel slightly better about my copy. Not saying yours is [embarrassing lack of self control], but makes me feel better that I'm not the only one who doesn't have a high grade copy.
  7. My pick ups for the week are for all those modern, variant collectors out there ... First off, a great copy of the Wolverine #20 RRP edition: Next, the Art Adams Red Sonja #1 (1:65) variant: And finally, the Red Sonja #1 RRP "1:300" variant: One of these days, I promise I'll let this whole variant thing go and start getting some of the bronze and late silver age books that I really want.
  8. So does that mean in another 10 years or so we can resubmit all our bronze to get upped a couple of grades or better yet in another 20 years all our moderns will get automatic upgrades? Sorry that x-men is a nice book but if its a 9.4, then i'm greggy. What makes it not be a 9.4? Have you got the OSG and looked at some examples of 9.4's? Book looks beautiful and a little wear is allowed in 9.4 Not trying to bust your chops, but i see nothing that would make this book not a 9.4. I have seen 9.0's that look better than that 9.4.
  9. Don't want to rain on your parade, but that don't look like a 9.4! Looking at the edges all around...or is is just a poor scanner? Yeah, I gotta say you got pretty lucky on that one if it is a 9.4. Of course, it is a silver age book, so that automatically raises it a couple of grades
  10. Just picked up a couple of my most-wanted keys list
  11. Just got a near complete run of the first Spider-Woman series, along with MS #32.
  12. Kudos to FFB for a couple of mid-grade bronze agers. Excellent packaging of course.
  13. I agree. I'm upset that my thread did not make the Top 6. BTW, I still don't consider my extremely common 90's books to be worth less than what I paid for them.
  14. Here's a number of books I picked up this week; all raw of course. Crisis on Infinite Earths 1-12, mostly VF/NM (one or two possibly VF or so and a few NM) Uncanny X-Men 158, VF/NM 171, NM 201, VF/NM 211, NM- 268, NM Annual 14, NM- Don't have them scanned in yet. If anybody really wants to see any of them, just say so.
  15. This past week in my collection: Star Wars #1 (9.0-9.2) X-Men #244 (should've been 9.6, more like 8.5 ) What If? #31 (?)
  16. I find that when I fold the mylar a bit above the board, the board rises up above the bottom of the book. So I started folding the mylars right at the top edge of the fullbacks, and have never had any problems.
  17. overkill. you'd just be spending extra money that's not really necessary. there was also a thread recently about how books can be damaged if you do that.
  18. Or instead of taking all that time and effort, use "Standard" size fullbacks and Mylites2 (or Silver size). If you fold the flap over right at the top edge of the board, neither the board or book are going to jump around. But the board is not wide enough for my tastes when I use it for my silvers. The regular board is not wide enough, so i cut them down so that they fit snug and still give me the extra room i need. My Standard size full backs are just a tad wider than my silver age books. Not by much, but the comics do not overlap the boards. I'm not dumb enough to let that happen.

  20. This week, in my collection, I added the recent issues of Flash, Batman, and Fantastic Four.
  21. Kudos to DiceX for an excellent cover repro of ASM 238 he did for me. I'd suggest anyone else who is seriously thinking about having one done to contact him about it. Lets just hope he doesn't develop too serious of a case of carpel tunnel!
  22. KUDOS TO THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS: wasonff for a great run of modern X-Men to help me get closer to a complete run. sandman for an awesome CGC 6.0 Hulk #102.
  23. Is there another KHurst on the boards? That eBay ID is actually not mine, if it's supposed to be for "khurst34." That is also my eBay ID (khurst34).
