  1. Well the good news is he was willing to come all the way down to 85k! So please keep your lines orderly.
  2. I have no idea how this will post since the internet sucks down here but here arebetter pics of the Donnelley booth
  3. I heard though the grapevine it was Bechara who bought it.
  4. It's at Burkey's booth but I didn't ask him about it
  5. I have, at a couple of banks around town. Generally, the safety deposit box dimensions are too small to hold 11x17 art.
  6. Wow... The Daredevil 163 cover: hammered for 59k on Comiclink on May 29th... Added today: 90k on Romitaman! http://www.romitaman.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=21740&ArtistId=896
  7. I would have taken that DD sketch in a heartbeat. But his DD material resonates with me far more than his Batman stuff.
  8. Yeah, that's really where I thought this thread was going...
  9. Comiclink seems like it has the same exact interface it had in 2001. Still, it's worlds better than Comic Connect imho.
  10. I think there are degrees of grail, personally. I was lucky enough to get my #1, and when I got it, it did cool my jets on the hobby for a bit. But my #2 is still out there...
  11. That Surfer DPS is incredible. I don't see the join between the two pages though. Is it all on one board turned sideways?
  12. My favorite piece is the cover to Captain America 212. Even a few years on, I still can't believe finally got it. It's the cover to the first comic I ever owned, and it introduced me to my life long admiration of all things Kirby! My current "grail in the wild" may actually be within reach, so I'm going to hold off posting it, but fingers crossed!
  13. Hands down, the one for sale, only because I vividly remember it as the movie poster during the release of the film. Probably more of a nostalgic thing for me, because I think the Kirk/Spock likenesses are better in the home video release.
  14. I respectfully disagree - while Star Trek 4 is definitely considered one of the better movies, I think hands down, Star Trek 2 is widely acclaimed as the best of the bunch, and the gold standard of the franchise. I think that if the Star Trek 2 artwork came up for auction, the deep pocket people would go nuts. And if I recall, there is only one painted one sheet image for Star Trek 2 (the other one sheet was based on a series of photographs that ran around the boarder of the title, but I can't recall for certain) which would drive up the value even higher. Nevertheless, when we are in the age of seeing covers going for 20k that used to go for 5k a few years ago, I think this poster will fetch in the range of 50-60k easy.
  15. Recently I've been thinking a lot about the FF 248 cover. I had two separate opportunities over the last few years to get this cover and didn't. Kind of a regret.
