  1. How can I be sure he does not try to say I shipped nothing or wrong item?
  2. I will do as you say because all it does is upset me. I tried to keep a line of communication to comply with eBay policy to see if he would come around
  3. Should I request to send it to eBay and they in turn send it to him?
  4. It's funny you said that because in the email he said I should get a 2nd opinion because restoration is a grey area. It seemed he was trying to say the no restoration comment was just there because he had a local shop check it out. I told him the reason I contacted and did business with him is because his claim of no restoration. And the moment I received it I sent it out and paid an expert Cgc to determine if his claim was true because I am not a specialist. I get the feeling he is reaching because he knows he is wrong but not willing to do the right thing. After all his comic is now in better condition then when received. Cleaned, pressed, Graded and encapsulated. I can't ask for that to be refunded as well?
  5. That's what I'll do then, Saturday I will escalate it then. Thanks for your imput
  6. So I should just wait and escalate it on Saturday?
  7. The seller is offering me 2 options, 1, I return the comic and recieve 75% back and he keeps 25% as a restocking fee or 2. I keep the comic and he refunds 30%. Both put me at a disadvantage. Do I need to work with him on one of these option or can eBay step in? thanks for everyone's input

  9. If not, PayPal will be next. If that fails I will notify my credit card. i received an email from the seller asking if I received it back from cgc and if I had an invoice number so he can call them. I gave him the certification number. It has all the information he should need. I think he is starting to know by listing no restoration he may need to undo the transaction. Time will tell
  10. I agree, thank god I sent it in to ccs for a press and cgc for a grade or I might have found out to late
  11. I'm giving eBay a shot, then PayPal by Monday. Seller is asking me for the cgc notes.... I copy and pasted to comply with eBay's policy
  12. Thanks for the number, they said it can be escalated after 3 business days. she seemed to keep saying don't worry we can escalate and should be able to help.... I hope so
  13. Here is the link to the closed listing http://m.ebay.com/itm/201831963285
  14. The listing said no restoration so I paid 13,500.00, I was just informed the grade at 7.5 and had restoration, I opened a case with eBay but they want me to try to work with seller. I reached out and he said his listing said no refunds. I can't find a number to call eBay. All it says is they can assist after 3 business days if we can't agree...I say we can't agree now?
  15. You guys were spot on about the x-men 1 I posted.
  16. I have not been lucky as to get a 9.8 yet but I've been looking for higher value books like nm 98 9.4... got $320.00 last year
  17. I've noticed that sending then getting graded helps sell them but it does take time and money. I don't want to mislead by grading wrong... maybe I need to go to grading school?
  18. I've sent a bunch of Asm, nm and uncanny xmen, sold them off. The last batch had a secret wars 8 9.2, uncanny x-men 118 to 210 (picked out by eye appeal) and grades were 9.2-9.4 20 books total. I was going to list on eBay but this whole event makes me wonder
  19. I picked it up at 13,500.00 but still way to much. I'm very happy in joining the collectors society. Everyone has been so helpful. i do have a question though. I had a friend who lost his comic book store around 1992. I got 52 boxes of comics, lost some in a divorce but have 33 long boxes that I stored ever since. Being busy I never got to look at them. All I do is maintain them. As I've been getting them graded they are mostly 9.2 and higher. The little bit of silver is lower but the rest has been better. What would be a good strategy for them?
  20. You are correct, I should not do business with this person. It's really a shame. All I wanted was an X-men 1 and instead I got drama
  21. Ouch, I have to peruse eBay and or PayPal to see if they will help when the seller said no restoration, complete. I will get my credit card company involved last I suppose
  22. Thanks, you made me feel better, I still like the book but not at $13,500.00 i would consider it in a 3k range. I keep everyone updated. thanks again✌️
