  1. This has been listed in Overstreet forever but I have never even seen a picture of one. Has anybody ever seen the Captain America # 77 Shoestore giveaway from 1954? It would blow my mind to even see one and I would spontaneously combust If I owned one!
  2. And last this is the infamous Superman 409 comic that was only produced to secure the Superhombre trademark so it is essentially an ashcan. There were only 100 produced but only 10 became available to the public
  3. This is Wings 67 which was part of the print run of comics used in the movie Empire of the Sun. Unlike most prop comics, this is a real comic with added features. This is substantially rare.
  4. I am proud that I have in my hands 3 of my non golden age holy grails. I only collect rare comics so these are extremely rare. The other 2 I want are Pow Biff Pops and Supergear comics. This is Miracle on Broadway and while it had a 1150 print run, because of how they were distributed, it is probably only in the double digits that exist now.
  5. Here is the inside where you can see who did this book
  6. This is a Canadian rarity. The Canadian dealer I bought it from told me in his 40 years in the business, this is the only one he has ever seen.
  7. RIP Bernie Wrightson Bernie sadly just died from brain cancer. I was his biggest fan. I am primarily a golden age collector but my most cherished book is my House of secrets 92 autographed by Bernie whom I met a long time ago at Big Planet comics in Bethesda MD. We could only have him sign 3 books at a time so I kept getting back in line. It got to the point that even Bernie was laughing at me. Out of all the rare expensive books I own, the autographed HOS is one I will never sell.
