  1. I don't think of selling this stuff at half of guide as giving it away. Guide is pretty generous on most of that stuff.
  2. Not me at all. I have boxes and boxes of old krap. I have almost never met a 10 or 12 cent cover price book in a dollar box I did not like.
  3. Ok, I thought these were in a garage or something, is that someone else?
  4. You have the comics at floor level. Are you worried about a flood ever?
  5. So, in sum, getting a SS verification always adds between $150-$20,000 in value per book. Pretty much anything these guys charge is reasonable because you will definitely make money too.
  6. Yeah, but he is kind of hard to miss if he is in front of you. (Seriously, I have been walking behind him at a few shows and thought to myself "I bet that's Greggy" and, guess what, it has been...haven't bothered him though)
  7. If you have ever seen Greggy in person there is not a whole lot of ambiguity. He is male (ok, I did not follow him into the bathroom to be sure). Rather large as comic nerds go. Very handsome and brilliant (can I get a mystery box too?)
  8. Right, you need to assume any box will split in transit so just put so much packing tape on it that it will hold together regardless
  9. That stuff will sell quickly at $1 a pop, even $2, depending
  10. I have used ups for stuff like this. I am going to ship like 100 pounds of kids clothing to CA and ups made the most sense.
  11. The Matt Baker art is highly sought after. Personally I like a lot of the kitschy covers.
  12. Yeah, I am curious as well. My problem is that I can only identify maybe 9 or 10 boardies. I recognize your names, of course, but I only have a sense of who a few people "are" from PM chats and what not.
  13. Urgent care is not going to have an eyeball specialist and you don't want to amateur this into permanent damage.
  14. A fine rendition no doubt, but does not excite me.
  15. I'll pass. For the money, OA gives me that uniqueness and "piece" of the artist (and half the time it is signed too). Although it has gotten so expensive for pages that excite me a little I am not sure I will ever get a page that does again.
  16. So if I spend whatever to get Adams to sign my green lantern 86 can I claim expertise in all things SS? :-)
  17. You wore me out. With that said, I see liefield selling signed coa books on his site. Neil Adams sells raw and SS books. And I might be reading this wrong, but his website seems to say for $20 he'll sign your book and send it to cgc with documentation to get a SS slab? (Shipping may be extra) that actually doesn't sound unreasonable. How can bench warmers charge more than Adams?
  18. You could have developed warp speed technology or cured herpes with the amount of brain power you have devoted to this trivial topic.
  19. Folks are testing the waters or just hoping. Maybe you counter with $450 and they accept. On a smaller scale, I have had $25 items that got $5 offers and I come back with $20 and they accept.
  20. Does anyone know if those sales taxes collected are part of the $20K/200 transaction 1099 sum? It is not a "gross amount" any of us will see.
