  1. Many sellers probably have no idea what you are talking about. If I did not visit these boards I would have no idea.
  2. If the comics are in the mailer I side a cardboard sandwich shouldn't this not be an issue? My sandwich inside the mailer is better than half the amateur shipping attempts I have seen lately.
  3. Does the seller have a return policy re slabs? As for the book, other than the ink, all possibly done by cgc during slabbing?
  4. The error copies also sell at a premium Roger's Time machine had dozens of copies in his dollar boxes for years. Along with Rom 1. I probably have 15 copies scattered about all my boxes. Time to get them in one place! Sales are all over the place, it is nuts: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1981-MARVEL-DAZZLER-1-ORIGIN-5-BOOK-LOT-SPIDER-MAN-X-MEN-APPEARANCES-NM/292814104037?hash=item442d14a5e5:g:PasAAOSwXtNaVaWm A lot of 5 NM copies sells for $20, $4 each https://www.ebay.com/itm/Dazzler-1-1981-NM-/392216391997?hash=item5b51eb313d%3Ag%3Ai4cAAOSw6X1cPmTK&nma=true&si=k5rBGBi%2BuujbAIA%2FqNJ8cW9pcBQ%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557t of 5 NM copies sells for $20, $4 each $5.01 And then: https://www.ebay.com/itm/DAZZLER-1-NM-9-6-HIGH-GRADE-BRONZE-AGE-MARVEL/392164914026?hash=item5b4ed9b36a:g:oZEAAOSw~LBb27ZS $24 after a bidding war https://www.ebay.com/itm/DAZZLER-1-NM-9-6-HIGH-GRADE-BRONZE-AGE-MARVEL-KEY-PREMIERE-ISSUE/382703440509?hash=item591ae7127d:g:nvoAAOSwkQhcKY-1 $26 Several BINs for "nm" copies under $10 listed. Dunno if they grade out though. Weird.
  5. I have never seen that Kubert DC Special before, which is amazing as there are dozens on ebay. I guess it doesn't fall into $2 boxes. I see the infantino one all the time.
  6. there are spots around the city where you find informal flea markets set up on weekends. It may just be 2 or 3 folks selling various odds and ends. Usually in front of a closed public building like a school or library, so nobody in the building to call and complain to the cops. Not to mention your typical stoop sales or garage sales (in parts that have garages). Some of these stoop sales are every week at the same location (weather permitting), wih craigs list ads announcing them. Have not gone to one of those. With that said, if you have a TAX ID and sell books/literature, the police are kind of limited in how much they can force you to move if you are not impeding traffic. First Amendment and such. As I've discussed here before, there is a guy in my area who sets up, sells comics, cards, stamps, coins, postcards, whatever. He's a retiree looking for some extra income. My chance to snag some comics at a decent price from his has passed as now he looks most stuff up on ebay. He claims he bids on lots on ebay to get merchandise.
  7. I am curious, are these $10 sales being done by auction, BIN/BO or Amazon? And I assume the stated grade in nm or better?
  8. Someone was selling a big group at a very fair price here. Sat there for a while. I would have bit if I did not already have them
  9. Callaway.. 48 hours from when your offer is accepted officially via ebay. Or message him at 48 and say you will be paying next day as you don't like using PayPal on your phone (I don't like using PayPal on my phone, nobody has ever raised a stink about waiting until I get to a computer). A few days is not overly obnoxious. I've had people tell me they get paid on ___ day. Am I going to raise a big stink?
  10. Buscema's Conan was the Conan we saw with Arnold. Box office success. Smith's is what we saw with momoa's skinny Conan. Failure.
  11. I should have said comic collectors. In the 70s there was a chunk of guys who basically just bought Conan titles or that was their vast majority of purchases. My old shop used to talk about how they would come in with boxes of Conan comics to unload once they lost interest at some point in the 80s when the quality on both titles declined and the stories got repetetive. They weren't "collectors" per se and they don't seem to be coming back years later for nostalgia buying. I am guessing that group pushed Conan over the top for a while.
  12. This all assumes legalization. NYC stinks of pot. It is nearly legal (but not to sell, but that is next).
  13. Mile High Chuck says it is worth $128. I can retire now. (Seriously, $128, where did they get that number??)
  14. I see bloodshot 51 is the last issue, not 46. I should have known that. I will survive.. Would have been nice to snag 51 for $3..
  15. Did everyone else get 200 free listings or do they spread those around? Of course, I get it as I have a short trial starting tomorrow and don't have time to get 200 new scans done.
  16. The problem as I see it os ease of access. It is really easy to grow pot. Now, if they have some patented something or other, fine, but if I want to start growing a few hundred pounds of weed a year on my property (a house on a 40x100 lot) it probably would not be that hard.
  17. cool! I asked about OPG because some stores will still look at it for a book like this, so there is a chance for taking advantage of market inefficiency. I remember 4 or 5 or 6 years ago the OPG price was half the going internet rate, maybe less, so if you could find one in a store priced via OPG you could make money (which I did, twice)
  18. I had just about given up on eternals ever doing anything. I remember my father buying TWO copies of #1 at a show in 1977 for us thinking as #1s they might be worth something one day and 40 years later they were still worthless (dad didn't know anything about comics..he bought two copies of ASM Annual #1 thinking it was ASM #1...)..I bought them when I saw them for $1-$2 for years... But I remember last show I went to (NYCC in 2017) passing on mid-grade copies in $2 boxes...oh well
  19. "Shogun Warriors 1 - $10-20 a book 10 copies" Really? Title looks dead on ebay. I used to get $7-10 a pop for nice copies, but that stopped, so I stopped trying to sell them.
  20. alright, I'll take this one to get the kieth cover too... would have taken the 614, but I JUST bought it already
