  1. Pretty obscure, but dating from 1968, so wouldn't that be in the Silver Age? Was it ever explained why BPtG was cancelled after 2 issues in the days when it seemed like every other series was allowed to run for at least 6 issues, to give time for the sales figures to come through? Another obscure first appearance was in Daredevil #128, which introduced Sky-Walker from Starron - the most startling character in the annals of Marveldom!
  2. A beautiful page by Neil Hansen (whatever happened to him?) from one of my favourite issues of the series, but that's not the Badger, it's Lanier Lutefisk.
  3. Marvel UK published a line of Pocket Book reprints during Dez Skinn's tenure in the early 80s. link
  4. I believe John Byrne came up with the idea of a symbiotic costume when he and Chris Claremont were working on Iron Fist, as a way of explaining how the hero's costume repaired itself between issues after it had been torn or damaged. Byrne's run on Iron Fist ended before he could get his idea into print, but he mentioned it to his friend Roger Stern, who later plotted the first appearance of the black costume in Amazing Spider-Man #252.
  5. As stated in the comments to the article in your first link, Wookieepedia says Pizzazz #1 was released on September 22, 1977, and Mike's Amazing World says Star Wars #7 was released on October 11, 1977.
