And even with your single issues, you are still King of the Crow.
Thanks Nick! That picture still brings a tear to my eye...
In about a week I think you may have a pretty impressive group picture to show off!
-
I bought them from a board member
Okay, this sounds like my favorite Crow lurker, William. King of the Crow Hoard!
I'm gunning for you, William.
Twas not me...
And now you've easily got me beat when it comes to Crow hoarding! I sold that entire ebay lot, all my CGC dupes, and one other run of the 4 issue series.... I'm down to the essentials right now...
I don't have two kids!
-
Even though I already know the grades, I still can't wait to see them Nick!
-
Nice going Nick! That is a thing of beauty!
But wait, you call me the hoarder???
I learned from the best Crow hoarder, so this is 5 months of searching.
Here's another copy that was just listed if you want to get wild. With the paypal 10% off coupon it's not a terrible price (not amazing either).

One of these arrived today.

Nice! I looked into buying that last year but that would have been a tough discussion trying to explain where all my money went to my girlfriend!
Glad that you got it Chris! Did you get any of the other pieces the seller had? I know he sent me about 8 or so scans of O'barr art. A few really nice ones but you definitely got the best!
Congratulations!!

well, I am going to go STRONG with my 4.0 and 6.5 and test the waters next week...will be interesting to see at what point price reisistance takes place
I just put my 3.5 OW up on Ebay with a BIN (at the last 4.0 high price) to see what kind of attention it gets. I didn't plan on selling it but I have 2 copies so I figured I would see what happens.
Should be interesting...

The CGC census was updated this week. Looks like we have quite a few Caliber Presents 1s out there now in high grade, but nothing like Wolverine Limited Series 1, New Mutants 87 & 98, or Amazing Spider-Man 300.
Wow! I think there were only 6 9.8's before the update. Good for prices I guess...that last sale 2 weeks ago was only $345.

1 million kudos to the following board members for their purchases and fast payments:
comix4fun (Chris) -showoff those Crow's when you get them
sakaridis (Dimitris)
invisibleghosts (Dave)
Thanks again guys!

Nice! I still need a 9.8 one of those...

Well, I decided to sell some of my CGC and raw Crow dupes/undercopies so I figure I would show off while I still can. I guess I could put this under the hoards topic but I think that you guys may be the only ones who would appreciate it!
I found out about the Crow when I was about 12. Tundra re-released it and I bought each issue off the shelves as they came out. I loved it so much that over the years I would always pick up the original Caliber issues whenever I came across them. I recall thinking it was cool that James O'Barr was also from Michigan.
I've actually already sold a few runs of the series and 4 copies of Caliber Presents 1 so this picture isn't exactly complete, but it's everything I have from Caliber that is Crow related at this time. Enjoy!

William, I had a feeling you were holding onto an amazing stash when we exchanged PMs about your love of The Crow.
Simply amazing! Thanks for sharing the photo.
Thanks Nick! I know you got that nice SS Caliber Presents, but did you ever find a nice copy of #3 that you were looking for? Though I've been pretty lucky, I think #1 and #3 are by far the hardest one's to come by in high grade.

They've been talking about a Deadworld movie for years so I had kind of lost faith. It came back up this past winter and finally this is the year it looks like it may actually happen. More concrete news came out about it a month or two ago.
I would have to say the most off the wall Crow appearance I have is in Amazing Heroes 1990 Swimsuit special. It's a 1 page pinup. I'm too lazy to scan right now so you may have to do a search for it.
-
Thanks everyone for all the kind words and PM's!
Yeah, I also have multiples of Deadworld 10-14, Caliber Presents 2, etc...(all have O'Barr covers). Lots of hidden gems in there. Speaking of Deadworld, I guess the movie is moving forward!

Does anyone know if the new Overstreet is actually coming out tomorrow (direct market)? Or is it the following week? I've read conflicting dates...
-
(These were from the 15 copies I bought brand spankin' new in December of 1990. Sent 8 copies at 9.8 pre-screen, got back 7. )
More coming....
Nice!!

kinda difficult pricing. can i get some feedback?
If you want the money fast, I am guessing that if you put a BIN on ebay that someone will buy it at $1000+, which will be the highest recorded sale yet. Or you could start it at $.99 and see where it goes. Either way I think you will be pretty pleased!
Good luck!
