I have very old books that were slabbed back when they were still using red modern labels back in 2001. They have never seen a press and I feel could benefit from a grade bump. Can I submit to CGC still slabbed and have them press and then re-grade? Do I submit the same way I would for a comic not slabbed?

He responded via PM and stated it has now shipped. Will provide a tracking number when he gets home tonight. He also said he threw in another slab of equal value because of the inconvenience. Will post back when I receive the comics to make sure he gets kudos.

November 26th: Sent money for Uncanny Xmen 191 CGC 9.8. $45 + $20 shipping from Canada. Total $65 Thread December 6th: Requested a tracking number after he advised he would provide one. December 9th: Advised he had a family emergency, apologized for the delay and stated he would send the book out that week and provide a tracking #. December 28th: I PM'd again and requested an update and tracking number. December 30th: I PM'd again stating I really do not want to submit a claim and start the process through PayPal, Advised it has been over a month and I was really looking for some answers or an update. January 3rd: Advised if I do not hear something back within 24 hours I will start process of getting my money back. It is now January 5th and I have not heard a response still through PM since December 9th, 2017

Grade came back: 5.0

First off, press it. You might be able to squeeze a 7.0 out of that. Without pressing you are looking at a 5.0

I just got an X-Men 101 NM aside from the staple being pulled on the bottom cover. Came back as a 6.0.

Fast track sent to CGC, I will update as soon as I have it back!

Back is actually in nice condition, might be my phone but it has good quality.

Thanks guys, it looks like 4.5-7.0 is the range we are "hoping" for. I paid $200 for the book at a shop, so I will more than happy with anything over 5.0. Going to send it out tomorrow and will promise to update when I get it graded.

My apologies -- still learning. I have added it now. I am keeping it on EBay for now -- but will definitely come to these forums in the event I want that easy sell. Thank you for your advice.

Currently have a Fantastic Four 13 for sale on EBay at $5,000 or Best Offer. This is Blue Label CGC 8.5+. Currently set at 5,000 as I am drawing interest, please feel free to throw in offers FF13 .

Anyone's thoughts on what fading does? I've heard different stories where it cripples the book -- or if it normally was a 8.5+, it comes back a 5.0.

Bought this for very low priced at a local comic shop. Obviously faded comic -- but otherwise very crisp edges, staples are mint, no blotches...creases....only negative is of course the obvious fading of the front color.
