  1. CGC after seeing so many requests from scammer about updating labels. Maybe we should start a label of the month club. Every month you send in your book for a label swap to a new custom label!
  2. Scammer. " I have decided that I do not like the look of that last custom label and would like to update to the newest one. ( X 200)"
  3. He has been brought up a few times. About opening the older cases. Micro trimming to attain 9.8 and forged signatures.
  4. With the addresses and the sheer amount of 9.8's there isn't anything that says this isn't Danny or he isn't involved.
  5. That is kinda where I was going with this. As someone already mentioned some of these books may be from or for his personal collection. Now imagine that Danny during his forgery days added a Stan Lee 86 sig to that 1st page on an AF #15 that was originally missed when they sold off the Wall of Fame books and they believed it to be real. Later he repurchased the book and decided to get a CGC signature series label added by having it witnessed and signed by Stan on the back .
  6. so a question that has been in the back of my mind. Does anyone have pictures of the $2000 AF #15 that was auctioned off by the Nassau County PD in the forfeiture of Wall of Fames "authentic " portion of inventory seized during the "Carlos Seneca" aka Danny Dupcak in 1998 ? How crazy would it be to think this might have actual ties to that case?
  7. I always wanted the first issues of Toyey and that Comice is a newsstand nice !
  8. I was only referring to it as a possible reason there may have been notes . I.e. the grader has been there a while, or used to making notes on all books for review/ comparison. I am not saying that is what happened, but a possibility and I agree any notes that are made should all be made available (which I believe is there policy now that the number of graders has changed and the notes able to be looked up /linked to the qr codes they added. ) Completely agree. Also agree.
  9. Not for no reason. This right here is one instance they become useful. On top of this, it was discussed in other threads where this may be artifacts from the previous way they graded . Where they had 3 different graders each grade a book then discus and come to a consensus before assignment of the final grade.
  10. Do not get the above post wrong. MOST of my submissions I wish there were notes as I have had some books that were as low as 8.0 with zero notes on any of them in the submission, but a couple of times I have pulled whomever the grader is that makes meticulous notes.
  11. I know if I dig more into my submissions I can find more examples, but here is one of the submissions where I had graders notes on all 8 books including the 9.8s.
  12. I have had some submissions where the grader actually made notes on my 9.8's . I have also had some were there were no notes on 9.2-9.6. That aside. With the special circumstances of these books CGC may have updated some of those books with some of the internal graders notes that would help identify specific characteristics of the books that may help with verification.
  13. In addition to the grading issue. They also have issues with correct identification / listing of variants. I have had a fee issues that were supposed to be Newsstand issues that they sent direct editions. Same with DCU.
  14. Second photo. It is one of those stolen accounts. Asking buyers not to bid , but to contact them directly at an email to buy it now. I reported it as I do with all of these. If enough people do they get taken down. They seem to target accounts with good feedback to add legitimacy to the scam. Edit to add photo:
