  1. Only thing toxic here lately has been you. Paul is an amazing guy who works hard to try to help a lot of us that are here. (Which I already said to you in the other thread that was shut down due to your incessant crying) What you dont see is everyone agreeing with the garbage you keep spewing.
  2. Maybe you should set up a stand and offer your opinion?
  3. You are free to tell them all you want, just do not do it in someone else's thread to ask questions. These boards have many sections. Feel free to create your own. This is not the place. Although with your posting habits I do not think you will be around here long.
  4. I would agree, but that was their target audience. A lot of them were sold from overseas bases. Which is why they can be harder to find , especially in high grade. I live in an area with a lot of bases and I always keep an eye out at local comic shops as these do turn up there due to collections being liquidated there.
  5. The main things that are inappropriate is that you still keep talking it upon yourself to keep trashing CGC on their site , telling them how you think they should run their business, threatening that you probably will not submit anymore, the constant posts of entitlement, and now that you are commenting on someone else's ask CGC message. First if you have issues( rhetorical it is obvious you do) create your own ask cgc thread and ask rational questions. Second quit cluttering up others threads with your trash. Third if this trend continues the choice to leave will no longer be up to you as I am sure at this point moderators are getting just as tired of you as most of the rest of us. Dont let the door hit you on the way out.
  6. The other kicker is that the MJI inserts were targeted to military PX, so these ads were tailored to those they perceived to have disposable income.
  7. I just want to thank you for the information, time to type this all out , as well as your contribution. I greatly appreciate it.
  8. Since @greggy was confused at this one I have decided to include him . Xoxo Aka Irrelevant One.
  9. Also way overused. Hot ! Investment! And now many emojis such as Stock Chart. Diamond. Fire , etc.
  10. In some circles this would be considered a grail now. (Note not just any Giggle Comics #3 , but this specific one!)
  11. But back on track. Disney has been able to spin gold from almost any character, but to put this one under the Disney label would be a real challenge and doubt would gain traditional heat.
  12. Looks more like a crude drawing of Billy Bob Bear from Showbiz Pizza..
  13. Actually a common misconception. He is actually more like a Ken doll and is anatomically incorrect. (No junk) He wasn't like Pinocchio who later became a real boy. ( although that mean ol' Geppetto's must have made Pinocchio a wooden willy or that would have been real confusing when he hit puberty.) Kinda like Chip from Beauty and the Beast..
  14. Funny. Do not know what the deal is with clowns these last few days. Maybe the Cardkid threads.. but I shared a story from the boards about this in another thread. It deserves a share here as well. Bob Kane and Clown Paintings. The clown story comes from Arnold Drake: “Bob had gotten to the point where he never drew anything. Never drew anything on the Batman comics, anyway. [Sheldon] Moldoff was ghosting them all and when he didn’t, someone else did. The only thing I think Bob ever drew was when we’d be out somewhere, in a restaurant or someplace, and a pretty girl would come over to him and say, ‘Are you really the man who draws Batman?’ Then he could whip out a little sketch for her, a big sketch if she was wearing something low-cut and would bend over to watch him draw. One day I’m over at his house to discuss this newspaper strip idea we had and he’s talking about who we might get to draw it. I was going to write it and we were going to get someone else to draw it. I’m not sure what Bob was going to do on it except sign his name. I said to him, 'Bob, isn’t it disappointing to you that you don’t draw any more? You were once such a great artist.’ He wasn’t but you had to talk to Bob that way. He said, 'Oh, no. Let me show you something.’ He took me into a little room in his house. It was his studio. I didn’t even know he still had a studio. It was all set up with easels and things and there were paintings, paintings of clowns. You know the kind. Like the ones Red Skelton used to do. Just these insipid portraits of clowns, all signed very large, 'Bob Kane.’ He was so proud of them. He said, 'These are the paintings that are going to make me in the world of art. Batman was a big deal in one world and these paintings will soon be in every gallery in the world.’ He thought the Louvre was going to take down the Mona Lisa to put up his clown paintings. I didn’t have the heart to tell him. So a few months later, I’m up at DC and I ran into Eddie Herron. Eddie was another writer up there and we got to talking and Bob’s name came up. Eddie said, 'Did you hear? Bob’s getting sued by one of his ghost artists.’ I said, 'How is that possible? Shelly Moldoff’s suing Bob? But they had a clear deal. Shelly knew he wasn’t going to get credit or anything…’ Eddie said, 'No, not Shelly.’ Bob was being sued by the person who’d painted the clowns for him…”
